<p>A1 Care Systems is a care home right in the heart of Jacksonville, Florida. Originally built in 1958, our quaint community welcomes visitors with a small garden of palms in the front yard surrounding a wheelchair accessible patio. We are proud to serve up to six residents at a time, ensuring that everyone in our home receives the attention they deserve. Assessments from our knowledgeable caregivers help us to create individualized plans that cater to each resident’s needs, making sure no one is neglected. Our health-focused staff is always ready to meet residents’ needs with a gentle hand and a kind smile. Schedule a tour and discover all that our warm home has to offer!</p> <h3>Living Amenities</h3> <p>We understand that every resident is different, which is why we offer a variety of living options. With private, semi-private, and shared suite options, our rooms satisfy a number of preferences. Our cozy bedrooms offer space for queen or twin-sized beds, a dresser, nightstand, and small chair. We strive to help everyone create a room that reflects their personality and needs – residents style their rooms with framed family photos, colorful quilts, and meaningful posters. All of our suites are located on the ground floor with accessibility in mind, and feature emergency call buttons.</p> <p>We welcome residents’ pets as well, and love them like our very own!</p> <h3>Dining</h3> <p>Our dining room provides a comfortable environment for residents to enjoy meals. While eating, residents can chat with each other about their day as they sip drinks and enjoy their favorite foods. Our chef-prepared meals aim to inspire with bold flavors while remaining nutritionally-balanced. We’ve found that having a meal preparation service frees up time for residents to enjoy their hobbies and indulge in some of their favorite activities.</p> <h3>Common Areas </h3> <p>A1 Care Systems strives to create comfortable spaces to relax and unwind. Our activities room is often alive with residents reading their favorite books, playing games, or watching light-hearted shows. A dedicated movie room features all the classics, and residents smile in delight as they watch the films they grew up with. When the weather is warm, we take to the back deck to sit in the shade, sip on a cool beverage, and watch the animals in their natural habitat. Nothing makes us happier than putting a wonderful smile on our residents’ faces!</p> <h3>Activities</h3> <p>We organize a variety of activities where residents can let loose and have some fun! We aim to plan activities that are as entertaining as they are physically and socially fulfilling. Group activities allow residents to chat and tease each other playfully while remaining active. Community-sponsored activities enrich the lives of our residents and remind us of the appreciation we have for each other and our community.</p> <p>Education is important to our residents as well, especially when it concerns their safety. We arrange for fall prevention classes to ensure that everyone feels confident and safe, wherever they are. We also offer computer classes, where residents can learn to chat with their loved ones online!</p> <h3>Local Area</h3> <p>Our home is within a short distance of countless relaxing activities. Within the neighborhood is a variety of retail shopping options. Some mornings, we visit Blue Cypress Park, just three miles away, to watch the mockingbirds and cardinals whistle in the trees. Our highly-populated city features a range of activities, such as the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, as well as the Cummer Museum of Art. The Jacksonville area is also home to numerous world-class medical facilities. We invite visitors to discover all the charming features Jacksonville has to offer.</p> <h3>Personal Services</h3> <p>Our range of personal services allows residents to participate in activities and hobbies without worrying about the little things. From pillow fluffing to bathing assistance, we’re there to lend a helping hand.</p> <p>We offer housekeeping and linen services, full home maintenance, laundry services, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Our attentive team is driven to create a space that feels clean and comfortable for each resident. Our variety of wellness programs serves to keep residents feeling excited, understood, and proactive about their health. When we put residents’ needs first, their happiness is imminent!</p> <h3>Medical Services</h3> <p>Because of our low staff-to-resident ratio, our caregivers are able to be more attentive to each individual’s needs. We are equipped to keep residents feeling safe, comfortable, and confident within our secure community. Caregivers can assist with transfers, help with medication reminders, and provide assistance with incontinence. Our staff is also experienced safely and patiently responding to disorientation and lack-of-awareness issues.</p> <h3>Care Types Offered</h3> <p>A1 Care Systems is licensed as an <em>assisted living facility</em> which provides <em>limited mental health</em> services. In the state of Florida, these terms are defined as follows: </p> <h3>Assisted Living Facility</h3> <p>A facility that provides supervision of the activities of daily living, medications, and other similar services to residents in a homelike environment. These facilities can house one resident to hundreds of residents. An assisted living facility may apply for specialty licenses. There are three types:</p> <p><strong>Limited Nursing Services (LNS) license</strong>: The assisted living facility can provide nursing services to residents.</p> <p><strong>Limited Mental Health (LMH) license</strong>: An assisted living facility requires this license to provide services to one or more mental health residents.</p> <p><strong>Extended Congregate Care (ECC) license</strong>: Under this license an assisted living facility can provide limited nursing services, supervision to residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments, provide total care for dressing/toileting/grooming, dietary management, and more.</p>
