Nice Staff - Just Not the Place for Our Parent

A & E staff are very kind, but this was not the fit for our parent.

Twenty-four hour "awake" care: Families need to make sure that they ask what the home's interpretation of that means. This was a critical concern for our mother's care, as she got up frequently through the night. An individual who has been relocated to new surroundings with impaired vision and memory problems, should not be looked upon as a "problem". I found this to be unreasonable and disconcerting; Especially when "A Place for Mom" suggested anti-anxiety medication as a means to remedy this. Our mother hadn't even been in this facility for 3 days... My family will definitely know what questions to ask next time. Anyone looking for care for their loved one doesn't need to feel like their parent is an inconvenience, while residing at a facility. We were very disappointed by this experience.
