*Visited morning of 11/23. *Monthly rate is $3800. Deposit of $2000 with $1000 going to month's rent. *Owner has 9 homes w/ a 10th one getting ready - BIG business! *I saw 2 locations in Laguna Niguel (I & IV) and one in Mission Viejo (III) - these are the only openings right now. *People are brought in for art and music therapy, etc. *Didn't like the director at first - seemed very cold, too professional and businesslike. Didn't see any warmth until I saw her talking to a resident at the last place. *Owner and her co-director are both R.N.s and they visit each site every day. *2 caregivers live at each location, 24 hours a day. No one awake at night but bell system for assistance. *They manage medication and prescription refills. *Laundry is done daily. *Wipes and gloves are included in the room rate - only paying separately for depends. Says this is different from other places. Owner can negotiate better price from vendor so she orders, it's delivered to her and then I'm billed directly at her price. *Podiatrist and dr. makes house visits. *If they transport to an appt., the extra cost is $150! *Can use house phone. TV/cable not in every room but cable box can be put in at extra cost.
