Allison's Home Care is extremely clean. Has lots of windows to make the place bright and cheerful. The staff are very friendly and caring. It is a small place where care is personalized. Activities are individualized per resident's abilities. [Removed]

Beautiful home, extremely clean, and whatever they were cooking at the time of my visit got me hungry too. Mr.[Removed] gave me a tour of the home and explained in detail all the services they provided. Only reason we decided not to place our dad here, is because he's still quite mobile in comparison to the other people living here. Would definitely place him here in his latest stages of his life.

I met with Ephraim during an evening and caught a beautiful sunset view from the backyard of the home in Diamond Bar. I had high hopes for this place as it has great reviews. Positives Great location large clean house. Very nice backyard with a lot of space and an element of seclusion as homes on each side are hardly visible due to the multi-level arrangement in this neighborhood. The private room was of good size and the price was good. It was nice to see the staff interacting with a resident while I was there and the whole environment gave me a positive perspective. Negatives An all male staff may make my mother uncomfortable.

My 93-year old mother has been a resident at Allison's Home since early September 2014. Before moving her in, my husband and I toured five other similar homes and found that Allison's Home was easily the best one by any measure. It was recommended to me by a close friend and our experience has been even better than described by her. The level of care my mother receives and the family atmosphere maintained by Ephraim and his staff are night and day in contrast to the nursing home where she briefly stayed before moving here. All of the staff are friendly and caring and put a remarkable amount of effort into keeping my mother comfortable and happy. Ephraim does a great job of coordinating with pharmacies, nurses, physical therapists, and others to minimize the effort that I have to expend in dealing with these day-to-day issues. I give Allison's home at least a five star rating and I would recommend it to anyone whose elderly parents need full-time care.

Ditto to my sister Mary Jo Gomez' comments. I was remarkably impressed by the excellent care that our father received. The staff were very attentive, qualified, professional and compassionate. Meds and meals were punctual; the house was comfortable and clean; it's evident that a lot of planning went into every detail right down to the daily menu. The savory aroma of delicious home-cooked meals greeted me at the front door every day. I cannot say enough about our great experience at Allison's Home Care.

The home our father was living in for several years was closing it's doors. Alison's Home Care was referred to us from hospice. From the moment Dad moved into this home our family was impressed with the attentive, kind and professional care he was given. The staff could not have been more welcoming and giving. The care and support Dad received at Allison's was exceptional. The staff took wonderful care and were Dad's advocate when hospice needed to be called. The care givers soon became like family to us as we knew that Dad's every need was being met. Our experience at Allison's Home Care was unbelievably positive. I cannot adequately express my gratitude to the caregivers for the respectful and loving manner they provided. Our family was blessed beyond words to have our Dad at Allison's Home Care.

The location is great and the environment. It's a lovely home. It's the kind of place my mom was used to living in, so it was not much of a transition. The care and ratio of helpers to residents is excellent. Mom is very happy and pleased there. Couldn't have found a better place for her. I would give it five stars!

I visited many Board and Care homes before I found Allison's Home Care. I knew immediately that this was the place I wanted to place my mom, an extra bonus was it was close to my home. The residence itself was extremely clean and modern, hardwood and tile floors, central air, a large kitchen, spacious eating area and a several places where residents could visit with their families both indoors and outdoors. My mom was fed 3 fresh home cooked meals daily, cooked from scratch. She needed help eating and the care givers made sure she ate and they did not rush her, Her medications were monitored and ordered in a timely manner. She was bathed every day whether it be shower or sponge bath. She was always clean, wearing clean clothes and ready to start her day to do whatever she was capable of doing. I observed this same routine daily with all the residence. The owner, Efraim is also a CNA and has set very high standards for his caregivers and himself, which shows in the quality of care they give each resident. The caregivers are very caring and knowledgeable about how to care for the elderly and show great respect for all the residents. Everyone gets along and it makes for a very pleasant homelike environment. I always felt comfortable leaving my mom in their care. Sadly, my mom was only able to spend 6 weeks here, before she recently passed away. During her stay, we all became like family and I truly enjoyed the time I spent here with my mom and the staff. I would highly recommend this facility to all who are looking for a place where their love one will be safe, well cared for and will have daily nutritious and delicious home cooked meals in a loving environment. .

After checking out 6-8 other places in Orange County, none really left me with any great desire to move my mom there. I then decided to check this one closer to my home, that had been recommend by an individual I trust. All I can say is WOW! This is the place you want to take your elderly family member to receive great care, good nutritious food, and a staff that treats you and your love one like family and with respect. You get this warm, friendly feeling, as soon as you enter the home. It was so clean, had all the amenities a good facility for the elderly should have to keep them safe and comfortable, the beautiful back yard with view of the valley added to the ambiance, and to complete the setting, Ephraim and Dalisay, the owners, made you feel so welcome. I knew this was the place where I wanted my mom to live out the short time she had left. My mom arrive here, from the hospital, already on hospice and in extremely fragile state of health. Ephraim, Daiisay and Gina, cared for my mom in such a loving and caring way, the short time she was there. I look forward to staying in touch with Ephraim and Dalisay and told them that if I need this type of care in the future, I hope they have a space for me. I would recommend this home to everyone. If you want a truly great home to place a loved one, where you will be kept informed as to any issues, a nurturing and caring environment and good nutritious home cooked meals, then, Allison's Home Care is for you. If I were to place my mom in an assisted living home, this would be the one I would chose. I liked the people running the place and especially that they take their residents on 'field trips'.

My mother-in-law has been a resident of Allison's since February 2013. My husband & I toured many different facilities but decided on this one because of the closeness to our home, and we have never regretted it. Since day 1, they have treated my mother-in-law and our whole family as their own family. Plus with my mother-in-law being a diabetic, they have made sure her diet was appropriate but also delicious. Her numbers have never been this good. In fact, she has been able to come off her sliding scale. We have truly been blessed to have found them.

Our eighty-nine year old parents moved into Allison's Home Care in July 2013. My brother and I toured several board and care and assisted living communities and this one was head and shoulders above the rest for meeting their needs. Not only is it extremely clean and clutter free but also tastefully decorated. It feels like a home, not an institution. The food it really good! Nutritious as well as delicious. They keep excellent track of the medications, making sure they are renewed on time. Because this is a family run business, the owners and their relatives are the caregivers. This creates a stable staff without the turnover experienced in many other facilities. There is frequent communication between us and the staff. We work with them to coordinate transportation to medical appointments since we cannot always take them ourselves. They are energetic and conscientious and have a good sense of humor. As importantly, they are flexible and open to suggestions and always looking for the best solutions. Getting old isn’t easy and taking care of the needs of the elderly is a challenge, but this group has done a great job making our parents feel comfortable, safe and respected.

It just seems like a more active type of community. The staff there actually try and engage the residents and keep them participating in activities. We are happy with what they have offered and provided.
