My sister had been living in another facility for almost 10 years. Conflict of interest left me no option but to move her .It was a very stressful experience, but the staff at Brookdale went above and beyond to make it happen. There has been quite a turnover in staff,which seems to be the norm,. They have taken so much stress from my life, can't thank them enough

Front desk staff is always friendly & helpful. Moving in was easy. The place is super clean & the housekeeper in memory care unit is wonderful. She goes out of her way to talk to the residents. The activities director very kind & treats the residents like friends. I do think you have to be proactive about your loved one. It can be hard to get questions answered. Communication from the top is sometimes lacking. They don't get right back to you, which can be annoying. Overall, I would recommend Brookdale.

What we like the most about the Brookdale Cape Cod is the staff team, they are amazing, and the community place is kept very clean. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.

The place is very clean, and my mom has a nice room. Activities director quit, so there's no one in charge and no real activities. Management never told us about her leaving. Serious lack of communication. Disappointed!

When it comes to the cleanliness of the community it is old looking and kind of dark and drab. Some of the staff members were great and others did not appear to be as interested. When it comes to the quality of care again some of the staff there were much more interested in the residents then other staff members. The meals were okay, not spectacular but not awful. My brother was there just for respite care. It was the only place available for respite as we transitioned him into his more permanent placement. Brookdale was not on the short list for placement. Most of the residents were further along in the disease process so he would not (did not) have any peers.

It's a wonderful facility, very clean and well-maintained. The staff is courteous, compassionate and kind. The food is of good quality with lots of choices. Overall, I remain impressed with the quality of the staff and care provided for my aunt. I would not hesitate to recommend Brookdale as an above average assisted living facility.

This was a disgusting tour and they had no record of my tour appointment. The community needed updates. I wouldn't recommend the community to anyone.

my husband has been in the memory unit at Brookdale cape cod for one month and 3 days. he is very happy with the food, his sunny room, the activities and the staff. he is particularly happy with his inclusion in the AL coffees he attends, and he much enjoys the musicales, and the two outside gardens. from my perspective the staff goes to great lengths to make his life comfortable and safe. he has begun to make a few friends and learn names. the facility is such that there is an attempt to meet every specific need and to provide him with control over his environment that makes him feel safe.

The community is clean and all the people I meet with were really friendly. I will feel really comfortable moving my dad in. The programming in Memory Care and the philosophy are great and I’m looking forward to him getting engaged.

Good, I am really happy here. Food is good, wait time can be a little long but the staff is great and my friends and the community are great. The care staff always around to help me when I need something.

The community is clean, my dad feels safe and I love that the staff answers my questions and calls me back! Dad moved from Florida a year ago and the people at his old community never called us back and did not answer email's. It is so nice to get information when we need it.

Brookdale Cape Cod was the 2nd of 3 Assisted Livings that I visited during my search for a place for my Dad. My dad has Parkinson's and will need quite a bit of assistance. Brookdale is the only one that did not recommend I bring in outside help. The community is clean and the staff was able to answer all my questions, even the hard one's. The sales manager did not give me a hard sell it was just a great visit. My choice will be Brookdale.

My mom moved into Brookdale last year into the Memory Care Community and we have seen her blossom. The staff takes the time to treat her with respect and has allowed her to get back into things we thought she was not capable of doing any longer. This is a great place!

It was hard to make the move but things have improved and I have new friends and am enjoying myself at Brookdale Cape Cod. I have been taking advantage of the activities and the setting to stay active with my new friends.

There were a few things I was not happy with. My dad never got his mail; I think the people there were very nice, but I don't think they had enough staff. My dad was in memory care so it was tough, but he didn't know who to go to when he needed to ask for something. He felt lost sometimes there and I think that was related to their lack of staff. There weren't enough people to check in and ask, "How are you doing, do you need anything?" - that wasn't there. Our situation was tricky because my dad was put into memory care, but continued to improve. We ended up moving him out - so he's no longer there. He was not happy there, but a lot of that I think had to do with him ultimately not belonging there. The people who were there were very nice and they tried to get him outside of memory care a few times, but he opted not to. They would try to get him to go out for coffee with the other assisted living residents and they offered to take him out and listen to music because he was behind locked doors and that was tough. He's not the most outgoing, but they did try. A lot of it was because he wasn't a good fit there, but that's not all on them.

I would tell others that you should definitely look into the community to see if it is a good fit. I would caution you that the community has a la carte items. My loved one seems to enjoy the food that is served.

We had a great experience with the general manager, who first interviewed us and was extremely nice. I think because of Covid, it was different than it would have been normally. My loved one was one of the youngest people there, and he wasn't particularly happy because of that. But he had a nice room of his own, his own bathroom, and a kitchen area. It was very clean. They would come in once a week to clean the residents' rooms. He was just unhappy because everyone was so much older than he was. He didn't care for the food, which didn't have much salt in it as it was geared toward elderly people with blood pressure issues. To me, it looked appetizing, and the menu choices looked good. There were not many activities due to Covid, although they had things like bingo. But they had stopped the outings and excursions. I thought it was quite expensive, especially when you consider extras for different a la carte care options - medication assistance, depends, showering, etc. But I don't know what other places are charging.
