An amazing place for your loved one to flourish! We met [name removed], who set the stage for enthusiasm, warmth and belonging. The entire staff is wonderful - helpful, kind and engaging. The atmosphere and the residents were immediately accepting and actually excited to have my mom join the group. We were there for our initial visit having lunch and five different people came up to introduce themselves. They have so many activities, classes and events. My mom's having a blast. Can't recommend this community enough. p.s. - the food and facilities are great too!

Dad had been living with us and it was challenging for all. We started researching senior living communities and Brookdale Meridian Westland was our first tour. We fell in love and visited other communities in the Denver area but none compared. Our dad is so happy, well-fed, entertained, and cared for and that is beneficial to everyone in the family. The staff is amazing and the activities are so fun. We make as many of the meals as we can because the food is outstanding! My dad never thought he needed or wanted friends and now he has whole community of them and it warms our heart to see our dad thriving.

I toured this community in [date removed] for consideration of a place my mother might be interested in. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and handed over to [name removed] who visited with me to learn about mom and her needs. We had wonderful conversation just about life in general. Then the tour. Along the way I met many residents who greeted me and just off the cuff told me how great the place was and how long they have been there. The apartments are very spacious, well appointed and well kept. Being a facilities manager, I have to look at electrical panels, HVAC, fire sprinklers, etc and this facility checks all the boxes for being well maintained over other places I have toured. The dining hall and food service was great even though I did not take the opportunity to enjoy a meal. I listened to a couple residents who told me how much they liked the meals served and the staff. That goes a long way for me as I understand what my mom wants and is used to.

My parents recently moved in and they are very happy. The facility is bright and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I didn't realize how worried I have been about them living in their home. I feel much more relaxed, knowing they are safe and comfortable in their new place. I always enjoy visiting!

Everyone, residents and staff, are very happy here. The entire place is well maintained, clean, full of windows and light, and welcoming. Every apartment is a place of peace and has its own private balcony. Meanwhile there are activities of all kinds to suit your interests and create opportunities for as much or as little socialization as a person may want. Three meals a day are varied and delicious with choices at every one with restaurant-style dining. The acres it is located on are varied with lawns and flowers and woods and paved paths located in a residential area. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have chosen Brookdale Meridian Westland; it is like no other and I recommend it highly.

I have greatly enjoyed living in this community. Residents and staff are very friendly and helpful. We have many exciting activities. Our chefs prepared delicious food for us. Our house cleaning crews keep things clean for us.

Brookdale Meridian in Lakewood was a very good choice for my brother. The staff have been friendly without being bothersome. The place feels like a country club. This one doesn't have a swimming pool, but it does have a large ground area to be able to move around on and take in the views. There is a patio area with tables, bbq grills, and a mini golf course. Special events are sometimes held there. My brother likes to watch movies and listen to speakers in the theater room. Every Friday is Happy Hour with entertainment. At first he was shy about engaging with anyone, but after a year there, he seems happy and comfortable with Brookdale.

[name removed] is enjoying her life. Overall the cleanliness is very good. She has had it seems like a lot of staff issues on her apartment cleaning, they seem to have a problem with keeping staff. She loves all of the staff. They are all very friendly and kind to her. She only goes down for dinner, and really enjoys spending the time with friends. As for the food, I think it's just ok. She has trouble with meat, as it gets stuck is her throat. She can eat fish, which is usually what she has. I've never heard her say that any of her meals were Really good. She loves any of the activities that she can participate in. She has Macular Degeneration and can't see very well at all. She loves her Friday happy hour, the entertainment and friends. Bingo with a little help from her friends. Not real happy with all of the increases, but she likes where she is, and the friends and staff.

We've been here at Brookdale Westland for a couple months and are enjoying our extended family. The staff is wonderful and the entertainment has been very good. We enjoy the activities and are happy here.

This is a great place. The staff is outstanding and very helpful. Food is good and healthy. Enjoy many activities and happy hour is fun. Movies need updating. Residents are friendly but somewhat clickish. Lots of outings and social events. Don't like standing in line on Sundays for brunch. Transportation could be better . Pricing for living here is too much.

My wife and I were living in another independent senior facility that didn’t provide meals when we decided that it became too much to have to go shopping for food, prepare meals and clean up. Plus we became dissatisfied with our living area where lived next to a busy road/street where we could hear traffic going by almost day and night and could not have a bedroom window during the night. Then the hall way outside of our apartment was a busy thoroughfare for foot traffic and next to a busy foyer which we could hear during the day. After nearly two years of living like that we decided to relocate and found Brookdale Westalnd and good meals, a beautiful back yard with trees and made many new friends.

From the Sales Manager to the dining room staff to the maintenance crew, the staff genuinely cares about the residents and can call them by name. They have gone above and beyond to make sure my mom is comfortable and safe. In all the looking around we did, this was the place where the residents all seemed sincerely happy, and now we know why. I highly recommend it and so does my mom.

I picked this community over other places because everyone, including staff and residents are very friendly and welcoming. It's a beautiful facility that feels like home. The food is also delicious! The only downside for me is the cost and lack of a garage.
