The room looked very nice. They had to paint, new kitchenette counter tops and new carpet. Shelves were not put in cabinets. The size was adequate. Mom enjoys food and said portion sizes more than enough for B,L and supper. Staff very nice and responsive Common areas appear to me ,need some painting - My opinion.

When my mom fell and broke her hip my heart shattered. At 91 and living with my family at home to looking to relocate to an Assisted Living facility, my grief was palpable. [name removed] handled my mom’s needs with grace and kindness. She listened to me discuss how mom loves to look at the birds out the window at home and the bird feeder that mom had by the back patio. She helped me to select the perfect room for her looking out onto the beautiful courtyard where there are bird feeders so mom can watch the birds. The aides and nursing staff love my mom and help with her daily needs as she is getting stronger. These people are now new family members and they even love it when we bring our dog, name removed] ([name removed]) to see mom. They even save breakfast sausages for [name removed] when he come to see mom on the weekends!

Staff is great. There could be more activities especially for those in early stages of dementia. Food is ok. My husband eats everything that is offered. [name removed] head of memory wing is excellent. I like the small place. I feel my husband is safe not like [community removed]. No place is perfect but I would definitely recommend Brookdale for memory care.

When my brother and I knew we needed to relocate our parents to Fort Worth as they could no longer live alone, we mostly choose Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks because of its proximity to where we live, as we knew we would want to visit often and needed the place to be convenient since we are both still working. What we have found there is SO much more than a convenient place. From the front desk, to the nurses, caregivers, med techs, activity director and leadership, we have experienced people who care, are kind, friendly and compassionate. Aging is not easy and to have people who still treat your loved ones with respect and dignity is a great blessing. oh and my dad says all the time-"haven't had a bad meal yet"! And because my dad loves to use a leaf blower, they allow him to do that in the courtyard, along with taking any resident that wants to go on weekly outings!

What’s important to me (and my dad) is that the staff cares. This shows up in so many areas. They work very hard in a difficult environment. We have been please with how well they know my dad, his needs and what’s important to him.

When we were searching for that right place for our Pop, they went above and beyond our expectations in working with us on getting him moved in and settled. He had a large amount of medications and the nursing staff did a great job coordinating those and helping him with showering, and other things. Not one person was ever short or unkind to him the entire time he was a resident.

My mom needed to be placed in assisted care to leave the hospital. Brookdale Tanglewood had a small room open with a larger room opening later. When my wife and I visited we immediately noticed how clean Tanglewood was, how friendly the staff was and how professional the nurses and medical staff were. They interacted with the residents with a level of care and concern that I had not expected. A month later we feel the same way. The staff enjoys working here, and the management cares as much for the staff as they do the residents. The residents have daily activities and the option of attending weekly shopping trips, so they aren't "trapped " with no where to go. You can take your loved one on a walk along the Trinity, and visit Trader Joe's across the street. Tanglwood is set up to transport residents to doctors appointments which is great when I can't. We are pleased with Brookdale and would encourage you to visit, check out the amenities and see if it would be a good fit!

The quality of care at Brookdale Tanglewood has been outstanding. The staff are attentive and responsive to my father's needs, and they always keep me informed of any changes or concerns. He was falling multiple times a day, every day, at his previous facility and complained to me that he did not feel safe. Since he has been at Brookdale Tanglewood, that has completely changed! I have complete peace of mind knowing my father is receiving such excellent care. [name removed], [name removed] and the rest of the staff have been phenomenal! I would 100% recommend Brookdale to anyone.

The non-management staff and nurses are very friendly and helpful. There is a need for better organization at the top level of management to improve communication and accountability. There is a wide range of residents' mental and physical facilities. Each resident should be treated as an individual cognitive to their specific mental and physical attributes. The facility is secure and safe. The meals are fair. There should be more activities outside the campus. Given the four assisted living places we looked at, this was the best one to suit my mother’s needs and lifestyle; however, there is a need for improvement to make things much better for her.

[name removed] the admissions nurse was amazing. very caring and patient. i believe [name removed]was a building manager and was everything you'd want in a human. i was comfortable leaving my uncle there.. it felt like he was in good hands, not like i was putting him in a jailhouse like some other places felt.

Last month the amazing staff at Brookdale helped me transition my father to assisted living. There’s a lot to it. [name removed] and her team texted after hours and through the weekend helping square things like insurance, medications and logistics away for us. The consistent follow up after the move in has been incredible. The facility is consistently clean, staffed and commutative. Your loved ones deserve the level of care and dignity provided here.

Being in a one wing 12 room section is so much better. You and your love one get to know the staff. I like individual heat and air controls. Small dinning room with good service.some activities and patients urged not to sit in their rooms. I feel my husband is safe and comfortable.

I think Brookdale Tanglewood is very nice the staff seems friendly my concerns for my mom is the cost of the care we have to really watch her budget she is paying more than she makes in a month & I know the more care she needs the more they charge we are trying to get some financial aid & if we don't get it may come down to moving her out I'm hoping I don't have to because likes it there & she likes it there . I would say mom really likes it there & that is a huge load off my mind when I started looking at places for her that was a main concern because she had always lived on her on but she is happy there & that's great !

I have been coming into this facility for a very long time as a nurse from an outside company and I have seen it go through many changes. But right now it is the BEST it has ever been. The office staff and the care staff are the most loving and caring people there is. Every one of the employees goes above and beyond to make sure that all of the residents are taken care of. They work very well with the families and the outside care companies to make sure the residents have everything they want and need.
