My care for 3 weeks

I had spinal cord surgery 50 stitches, three different layers. 34 inches long. Pain management and a factor of other things but there was 1 nurse and I mean 1 every time I saw her and she was assigned to me I knew I would have a good night she never rushed she allowed me to cry my heart out on her shoulders several times she even gave me showers put me on the pot and changed my pull ups because the cna’s. Was nervous about my incision or just didn’t want to do it but she would without a question as she did everything in her power to make sure I was cared for properly and had some type of smile on my face she even prayed with me several times I thank God for people like her she did all those things for me while pregnant with twins bless her Her name was [name removed] I THINK SHES A Registered nurse I didn’t get to tell her goodbye because my insurance denied my appeal so I left unexpected while she was off but I would like her to know what she naturally did for me was not unnoticed

She's alive at least

Mom arrived here 25 days ago after breaking hip and having a partial hip replacement. She went with a Foley catheter as she was retaining urine. (I did a rev Google Maps on day 3, this is an update. Trying to spread the info.) They said needs uro consult-cant get one. Has good insurance. Things really have not improved except the decubitus ulcer she got on day 3 healed. They're not putting the wedge I got under her heels on the bed consistently nor since Thursday. (I'm scared to look tomorrow-Sun) She weighed 105lbs at home just before she fell on [date removed]. Is 5'6" standing straight. Only wt they got was 89.4 lbs on [date removed] after I took in my own scales; they were suddenly motivated. Dietitian was to call me after a repeat, but no call. No protien drink with meals. RN does something with me? what. She hates the stuff from home warm or ice. She wont use call bell even if in reach. She won't get water/help in bed/cleaned up/or pain meds unless bad.. Doesn't want to be a bother. More later

Not good

My husband was there last fall for PT. He had trouble getting anyone to answer his calls. Sometimes did not get meals. Staff would sit him in a chair and not come back for hours or move the phone where he could not reach it. When it was time for him to be released, we discovered he was in much worse condition than when he went in and he had to be readmitted in to the hospital. I cannot recommend this facility.

Filthy and unprofessional

This place is a cockroach infested slum. Do your homework first. Do not make the same mistake we did. Emory recommended the place and we just went with it. The staff is rude and there are language barriers.

EXCELLENT CARE

My mother went to Budd Terrace for rehab after having surgery on her hip. The therapists there are wonderful and extremely caring. We couldn't be any happier with the progress she made and with the quality of care she received. Compared to other nursing homes I have seen, this facility and staff is BY FAR THE BEST when in comes to caring for your loved ones.

Bad Treatment

Some of the nurses were very rude and did not provide adequate nursing care. Food was horrible. Hospital inpatient medical Physician, (Hispanic) was a angry, pious physician that did not know what he was talking about

They were very good about taking care of her, but they were very expensive.

They were very good about taking care of her, but they were very expensive. They were very careful with her, and we didn't even know she was capable of doing certain things, because they never let her. They did provide pretty good therapy though. They were also giving quite a bit of medications. They kept everything clean, and were good with communication. They were not reading the chart as well as they should have, though.
