My mother loves it there

My mother loves it there. Great food and they take good care of her. Megan is the best. She is wonderful to deal with and loves all the people there. But most of all she treats them with dignity and respect. I would like to thank the staff for all they do

Food is substandard.

Our mother (name provided by request) has been living here for a number of years. My family had visited with her many times. None of these visits showed anything but very good care. I think i can speak for my siblings by saying we are pleased our mother is now living there. Now the negative part....too often during our regular phone calls our mother complains about the food. This evening I learned the housekeeping staff is cooking meals for the residents. I am lead to believe they are not trained nor do they have the requisite food handling certification. I say this because I am told the kitchen (?) staff cooks\prepares meals without hair nets. In addition the meals are terrible. Our mother tried to say she is sorry for mentioning this and that it is up to her to try fix this. She would not have to go through this if Americare lived up to their own standard and philosophy. I will continue to enlighten Americare management until this fundamental issue is acknowledged and corrected.

I would recommend Capetown!!

I would not recommend the food at Capetown. There are not a lot of choices and there have been times when my mom went to bed without a meal. The staff are good and keep us informed of her care. They do offer activities however she is not able to participate due to health issues. Everything else is good at the community. While my mom is having to move to another community due to the cost, I would still recommend Capetown to family and friends.
