Nice
My wife and I visited her dad over the Father's Day weekend 3 times. The facility is clean the rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly and attentive. We showed up unannounced and were treated great. My father in law has been there a few months and likes it a lot. We will be back in November.

The community looked nice but it was not as nice as the other facility that we were considering. It looked clean and appealing and they were very informative.

We virtually toured this community. The staff was very friendly and shared a lot of great information. They followed up with us also. We were not able to do a regular tour due to covid.

Carolina Gardens at Lexington is a nice facility, they are taking great care of my mom. We are having a little situation with the staffing ever since the virus hit. I am feeling like there is not enough staff. They are all very nice, when I would visit my mom before COVID I would stay in her room. They are very accommodating and the food is very good. Overall, it is a great facility. I would absolutely put my mom here again.

The staff at Carolina Gardens were friendly and helpful to my dad They really did the best that they could with him. The is a beautiful place . It is nicely landscaped and the we liked the way the building was set up. The rooms were very nice. The community was recommended by friends of ours who had relatives there and they were very happy.

Very depressing upon entry and throughout a poor tour. We weren't even shown a room. Will not be selecting this place.

This Place is Horrible!!! I tried to get my Grandmother into Respite Care with Carolina Gardens and the Facility where she is now..has done EVERYTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO ENSURE THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN! 1. The Facility where my Grandmother is has faxed the necessary paperwork to their facility 3 times to NO AVAIL! Confirmation was given to her..that the fax was received! 2. I called the business office to ask what is the problem with the fax machine..and this rude..unprofessional woman by the name of [Name removed]..overtalked me..stating she has explained this to the SW @ the Facility where my Grandmother is and has explained it to me and she’s not doing it again!! Afterwhich..she hung up the phone in my face! She also hung the phone up in my face..after I called the first time! To ALL LOVE ONES WHO ARE CONSIDERING PLACEMENT FOR YOUR LOVED ONES..PLEASE..I Beg Of YOU..don’t allow them to be a Patient Of CAROLINA GARDENS-located On Leaphart Road In West Columbia! They are Very..VERY UNPROFESSIONAL..UNCARING..Lacks Compassion and are SIMPLY RUDE!!! I will also be writing a letter to the Corporate office about this matter!!! If your loved one is or has been a patient there and something happened to them..PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE MATTER @ ONCE! The Compassionate Treatment of your LOVED ONE..Starts @ The TOP and these so called professionals @ Carolina Gardens are not WORTHY OF CARING FOR ANYONE’S LOVED ONES! AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION IS WORTH A POUND OF CURE! Please go ELSEWHERE!

I toured this community for my mother, and her needs. My tour went pretty well. The community was in the process of being remolded. I did feel the community was a little dated. However the staff I met was kind, and friendly. I did feel this would had a good choice for my mother. and her needs. It was a good experience.

My mom lives at Carolina Gardens Lexington. She has adjusted really well. The staff is excellent and the location is perfect for her family. Pruitt Health took over this facility in March and have seen much improvement with grounds and an inside facelift. Improvements also have been made with meals but could still use a little more variety in diet selections. Highly recommend this facility and care for your loved ones.

The move to the Carolina Gardens has been smooth for my mother. The apartment she is in is comfortable and feels like home to her. A group of people and myself take her as much stuff as we can to make it as homelike as possible. The place is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. She is very happy, and I love it.

This is a wonderful community, and I'am pleased with all they have done for us. I know my husband is in caring hands. The staff is incredible, they have been really good to my husband and I. This is a lovely community. They do a very good job with the up keep of the community. They are providing great care. I have already recommended this community to my friends. It is a great place with caring people.

Unfortunately my loved one was only here for a very brief time, but overall I thought Carolina Gardens seemed like a nice place. The facility itself is nice looking, and the staff was very helpful and informative during the tours. I was a little disappointed with her move-in day, they greeted us when we came in, but never really came to check on us the rest of the day. I will say that when my loved one had serious health complications the director was there for us, he met us at the hospital and checked in often.

I stopped in to check it out now that its is no longer "Agape" but found most of the same Agape staff (with some just from different Agape facilities). The Memory Care unit in the rear is depressing and dark. While taking a tour, a woman in a wheelchair asked for pain medication, and that message didn't get passed to a med tech until at least 15 minutes later into my "tour." The med tech responded "she already had her pill." I don't know if they ever went back to the poor woman waiting in the hall in her wheelchair. If you pay the $2,000 admittance fee, they reserve the right to move you to the back Memory Care unit at their discretion. The administrator told me if there was any sign of memory problems, they moved residents to the back. There aren't enough nice units in the front. I wouldn't leave a dog in the back unit, much less my loved one.

The ENTIRE staff has been extremely helpful and supportive since we first walked in the door. I truly feel "peace of mind" knowing that my parents are well taken care of by the staff. Both of my parents have enjoyed the variety of meals prepared in the dining room. The administrator, Jeremy [removed], has been a "rock" for me during this emotional transition and has been genuinely compassionate and caring to my parents.

I have found Carolina Gardens to be the best place for my Mother. She is getting better quality care and more one-on-one therapy and care. We know her memory will continue to decrease, but she is in good hands. All the staff has been very helpful, friendly and welcomed her with open arms. I like the fact that her unit is for a small group of person, this is less intimidating for her.
