overall a very nice community
My mom is in the independent side of the facility. She is happy and feels safe and comfortable. I like the apartment itself and the parking next to the back door is a huge plus for seniors, but not all apartments have that option. I like the newsletters and staff.

I lived at Casa de Modesto for a year. My time at Casa de Modesto was interesting. The first month there my apartment flooded. I lived next to the area to put trash and it was not always kept clean. Homeless people would sleep in the area in front of the door where the trash was dumped. I enjoyed some of games they offered, I never ate at the cafeteria and I always cooked my meals. Some of the staff was friendly and some were not.

I had a few issues throughout the time my mom was there. A few times I felt her personal care was not being taken care of, such as her teeth not brushed, her hair not combed, and her personal belongings being taken by other residents. When my mom got close to the end of life, the support they provided was amazing. They provided food and beverages for me, family, and friends that visited. My mom was on end of life watch for two weeks and during that time the support and encouragement they provided was such a blessing.

5's across the board . They truly gave us a warm hospitable and rapid welcome! we are no longer with them because my moms friend found a new place in Livermore that was closer to her daughter and cheaper . they based her rates on her income and she qualified for reduced rates .

We've had a good experience so far. We're grateful that my dad is in a reliable facility where he's safe and taken care of. Seeing the other residents looking happy and cared for also says a lot about the quality of care provided.

The staff are very friendly and kind. They are patient and understanding. They are compassionate and supportive. The staff make sure that the residents are comfortable and have what they need. Communication at times can be a little off, but most of the time it is good. The move in process was very easy. The food is good, and is always nutritious. I would recommend this facility. My only recommendation is for them to continue to work on getting better with communication, and just making sure that the residents' daily living needs (brushing teeth, grooming) are taken care of each day.

The Sales Manager was extremely accommodating of my work schedule, knowledgeable about the facility and rapidly assessed our needs. She was beyond helpful and welcoming in the beginning process. She navigated our special circumstances with finesse and grace! She made my loved one feel like instant family and personally checks on her. She knows her residents by name and has meaningful connections with all of them! We were able to view a unit, process paperwork and had a key in hand within a day to the cottage. The cottages for Independent Living at Casa De Modesto are truly remarkable units for the price! They are the best priced and newest units in Modesto. You would pay double anywhere else for lesser quality and worse service! I am truly grateful for this place and my loved one loves it here! I would absolutely recommend Casa De Modesto to others!

The staff is very friendly and helpful at Casa De Modesto. I'm in the Independent Living part of Casa De Modesto. They have safe measures in place that make me feel secure. I have the choice to call cleaning services and use the cafeteria whenever I have a need for it. That's a plus benefit for me. The place is quiet and I enjoy that. My neighbors are friendly. I would recommend Casa De Modesto 100%. I truly enjoy living here.

I have to give a 5 across the board. The staff was awesome and the facilities were very good. The meals were good and quality of care was top notch. As far as activities my father could not participate in those. Value for cost is amazing. Nothing but great things to say about the whole experience. Based on the experience we have had so far we would absolutely recommend Casa De Modesto to other families.

They are kind and welcoming. The staff is very kind and caring. They do their best to make the residents feel welcome. They can improve by, keeping better track of prescription orders, part of their medication management system.

Positive overall experience, and they keep it clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I am in independent living and do not need any assistance - I prepare my meals but if I need assistance they will provide. There are plenty of activities to participate in and enjoy.

The staff at Casa De Modesto are good, but they aren't enough staff. Little things that should be included aren't, so they are charging an exuberant amount of money for those small things. One of which being laundry services and I don't pay for that, because I don't think they should charge for that. A lot of places already have laundry services included in the pricing. It's a good place to be, but it's hard to get in contact with those people after hours. I don't like that it's so hard to contact them. Their voicemails are full and the number they gave me goes straight to voicemail, so it's hard to reach my mom. That's frustrating and disappointing; my biggest complaint is not being able to contact staff. At a place like this, I believe someone should be answering the phones at all times. Aside from that I am satisfied, some of their activities include bingo, art projects, painting, they bring in people to perform music, and they groom/paint nails. When I go to visit I've seen some of those things going on, and they hang up their art projects on the walls.

They promised activities when we started was actually no program. What happened is the activities director had resigned and they had put in hands of another staff and didn't work out. Looked at other facilities and they were not well kept, this was best facility for mom overall.

I have been a resident at Casa de Modesto since April 2017 and reside in a 2-bedroom independent living apartment. This is a wonderful place to enjoy your senior years. My experience with the other residents and employees has been excellent. The employees are very kind and respectful toward me and my requests for maintenance and housekeeping have been fulfilled promptly. There are many activities from live entertainment in the Activity Center to bus trips to excellent restaurants and other special trips. Casa de Modesto is located by many types of stores, 2 medical centers and many doctors' and dentists' offices. You may schedule a bus trip to any of these facilities by just contacting the front office. Also construction of new independent apartments will begin this fall or early winter. They will include a washer and dryer in each unit. This is a wonderful community and I'm sure you or your loved one will have an enjoyable experience living here also.

Casa de modesto was a wonderful place for your parents to reside for years. My mother lived there from 2000 to spring of 2017. The staff was so helpful and caring. The management was also always there for families and residents. Things started changing after [Removed] left the Executive Director and several other top management people. The head of admissions, director of Residential and several others. So many Long term staff have left and the feeling is not the same. Some of Mom ‘s friends and daughters have told me that besides [Removed] at the front desk there is no one that is approachable. I would not recommend this place to anyone now. I heard Nursing did not have their normal 5 star rating when they had the state visit. So sad!

The staff gave my loved one and I a very welcoming and informative tour. The building was a little outdated and needed some updating throughout the community. There was also a waiting list to get in the facility and my mother needed immediate care.

We shopped around for several places and Casa De Modesto had the best prices for what you got. The staff was wonderful and helpful and my family was impressed by the facility. The activities and the meals are wonderful. Overall I think it was a top-notch experience.
