A place for Mom was very helpful to confirm that Clairmont Crest was the right choice for my mom.

Clairmont Crest Apartments is an independent living community located in Decatur, Georgia. This community offers residents that are 55+ a safe and secure place to call home. This community features a well-lit common area and friendly staff who engage with the residents daily. Residents in this community can participate in activities and social events such as morning coffee, pizza parties, and holiday celebrations. The community contracts a private catering company to provide meal services for residents at an extra cost. There is even a pool where residents can take water aerobics classes or go for a swim.

Would definitely recommend it if you can afford it
My Dad no longer lives there, they did some extensive renovations and the rent increased significantly. My Dad really loved it at Clairmont Crest. Overall it was a good experience because during the renovations it was a little difficult for the seniors living there. Other than that, it would have been great.

Very Impressed
All of the activities are great. There are shopping trips, exercise classes, and also a pool. Overall it is a really nice community at Clairmont Crest.

I've had nothing but a great experience from moving in till present . management is very pleasant and accommodating!!
I highly recommend!! Very convenient, mason park is just across the street, DeKalb library is with in feet from the complex.

Claremont Crest is a loving and wonderful facility that you can call home.. it is a very clean facility the staff is awesome The residents are very nice, And everyone makes you feel welcome. I am enjoying my stay at Claremont Crest. It is a very safe place to stay.

Surprisingly impressed
This place was surprisingly impressive. The staff was friendly with all their tenants and were on first name basis with them. The pull out all the bells and whistles when it comes to catering to you. I was looking for a place for a family member but if the choice was all mine, I’d move in tomorrow.

A great experience!
It was a Rocky start at the beginning. The folks at Claremont Estates kept reassuring me that everything would be okay. They went over and Beyond. I was moving from Oklahoma to Georgia and I didn't know quite what to expect. The staff here went over and Beyond anything I could have ever imagined. The residence are nice and not pushy which you will sometimes find in 55 and over living environment. The maintenance people and other staff members, are always available to assist you with courtesy and smile. If you're in the area and you're in need of housing, stop in and we will be more than happy to meet you!

Living at clairmont crest
Not a very good experience I would not recommend living there I had lots of problems I lived there for two years they were bought out by a new company things got worse rent went up every two month my apt was very old no upgrades were done the door systems did not work on weekends you had to go let guest in my apt became infected with roaches because of contrustion plus I was denied my deposit for there reason do not live there

Active seniors take note
The common areas are very clean and the staff and residents are very friendly and have tried to reach out to our loved one. There are plenty of activities provided such as pizza parties, coffee in the mornings, they have a pool, water aerobics etc. There are plenty of things to do for those who want to be active. There is a private catering company and if you want you are able to order meals from them. For an active person it is a great value but for someone not as active it is pretty expensive.

Just What We Were Looking For
My loved one loves living here. There are plenty of activities for the residents to participate in. Some activities include bingo, exercise classes, swimming pool, chapel, outings, and more. This has been the best move for my loved one, and for my loved one one to be around people their own age. The community is truly 55 and older for the resident ages.

Great place to live
This is a friendly place for you or your loved one. I love it here at this community. They have activities like on staff physical therapy, work out classes, different activities where speakers come in and speak on health and more. They have a beauty shop at this community and a bus that takes the residents back and forth from the store. They have a swimming pool and more, this is not a bad place at all, it is quiet and safe and the community is well kept.

Feels like home
I have had a wonderful experience so far with the Clairmont Crest community. I feel very safe living here because you have to have a key fob to have access to the building. The surrounding area is also lovely, we are close by a library, senior center and shopping malls. We have a shuttle service that can take you to and from places. There is a lot of different things for us residents to do here. We have bingo, exercise classes and church services on Sunday's. We have on sight PT which is very convenient. We also have a pool with grills that was a big selling point for me. I love doing all the water aerobics. Also when it comes to the meals and dining services it can be optional whether you want to pay for it or not.

Great Community in a Desirable Neighborhood
There are some activities for the residents to participate in. The community is very friendly. I would recommend you check out the community for your loved one.
The community can be a little on the high size, and they do have some programs for those with income restrictions. There are renovated apartments that can be high in price. There have some apartments that are more of a decent value. There is a meal option for one meal a day delivered Monday through Friday at a reasonable cost.
They have services to assist residents to the store. There is a medical provider on sight once a month for the residents. They are close to a senior citizen center with lots of activities.
There is a pool available as well, and some exercise classes.

My mom has only been at Clairmont Crest for one week, but so far it has been great. She says that she feels like she is on vacation -- who wouldn't want to feel like that all the time? The best thing about the property is the people -- both the people who work there and those that live there are extremely friendly and helpful. The property offers tons of activities and more services than others we toured. The only downsides so far are two -- the waiting list is a year long (as it is at all senior independent living places), and the property itself is a little dated.

Beautiful place to live!
The building is very clean and secure. The apartments have new appliances and good closet space. They offer many good activities such as plays, concerts and tours that you pay a reasonable amount for the bus ride and tickets. They offer classes for seniors to learn about physical and mental health. There are exercise classes, a gym and an outdoor pool. There is a chapel with weekday services and bible study?. Rent is not based on income. The facility appears to be for active independent seniors ages 55+.
Residents pay rent, electric and cable. Must have your own rental insurance. Laundry facilities on every floor. Apartments have wide doorways and are wheelchair accessible.

I really like the location...
I really like the location, it's a really convenient area close to stores, doctors, recreation. The price is a little more than I would like it to be, but that seems to be the nature of the industry. They have a dining area and you can purchase meals there as well. I really appreciated A Place For Mom's help in finding this place. I don't think I would have found it without their help.
