Think twice before choosing.

Cranberry Park was going through a lot of changes when my mother was there. They were going from assisted living, skilled nursing and rehab, skilled nursing and rehab. We weren't given that information when my mom ended up moving into assisted living there I think their communication is very poor. I had a lot of problems with them with communication, especially with the director at that location. The staff, as far as the aids were all caring, but there was a huge language barrier. My mother was discharged from the hospital with an ice machine for her knee and they just didn't know how to use it so they shut it off rather than call the family and ask for help Had a really hard time with the director getting her to hold her people accountable. We had a particular nurse that refuse to help my mom when she was in a significant amount of pain the handoff between the hospital and cranberry Park was terrible. She had a knee replacement and some other issues and came in on needed pain meds and I had preemptively gone out there before my mom's discharge to have a conversation with them and what she was gonna need to make sure that she would have all of her meds and she did not, and this was the second time she had been admitted to cranberry Park and had no meds for 36 hours maybe not that long. It was 24. So patient in pain no pain meds. The nurses had no idea what an emergency box of meds was or how to access it Since she's left there. I've heard it's gotten a lot worse. My mom had a friend admitted to her current assisted living that had been there and it was horrible I can tell you the food is horrible there the menu is never right and the food is terrible. My understanding is that it used to be a great place, but it certainly isn't anymore

Turned into SNF no Assisted Living. I do not recommend.

After my mom moved in to assisted living they decided to make the entire place a SNF. She will not be allowed to have her coffee pot or microwave and she will not be allowed to self administer her own medications.. I have serious concerns about loss of independence for these residents. There is not enough staff, rooms are not cleaned very often, trash rarely taken out and let's not even begin to talk about the food and the terrible food service. Looking for a new place. Mom actually is advocating for other residents who cannot advocate for themselves. I can say that the nurses are great, the aides as a whole not so much. Some are great others don't speak, are not friendly and I have seen them walk by an active call light.
