My mother moved into Esplanade Gardens this past December. From day one the staff has treated us as family. They are kind, helpful, compassionate, and well trained. They know if she doesn't go down to the dining room, and they check on her. The staff all know the residents names and are considerate and caring. My mother has become happy there and she was against moving to assisted living in the beginning.

Always tour facilities. Not all fit all. For me, this was the best possible choice. I understand everyone has different needs. I am happy with choosing Esplanade Gardens. I toured many many facilities.

Overall experience is okay but I always have to keep up on that caregiving they're always doing something they shouldn't do very tiring, cleanliness is okay meals and dining it's okay activities is okay value for the cost I guess it's about right but the caregiving situation of the turnover rate is under par but it might be par for the course not good enough to change take care of the your loved one consistently they put their health at risk all the time minor stuff but sometimes major stuff.

What we like the most about the community is mainly the staff. The maintenance man could be a little more patient I think but everyone else is great. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

I would say that overall we had a good experience with the facility. Everyone was really nice and knowledgeable and everyone knew who my dad was by name and at what level of care he needed. We did visit him 3 to 4 times a week and got to know the staff pretty well ourselves. Which is what I wood recommend to anyone. Make sure you are present and talk to all who care for your loved one. The reason we picked Esplanade is that the memory care unit was small and there was less chance for confusion of were his room would be and how he could get back to his room. [name remove] was very knowledgeable about the facility and residents there. She answered all of our questions and explained how the process works. The facility is a bit older but they were remodeling many areas. There was no smell or odor as we walked through the facility. It was clean and kept tidy. They did have planned activities and events for all residents. They also provided, grooming care, medical staff, and caring care givers.

As far as cleanliness the carpet could use to be updated but overall it's pretty good. The staff and care is excellent and friendly. I would highly recommend it. I picked this community because of the cost, friendly staff, the ability to move her into memory care and it's close to my house.

We chose Esplanade Gardens because of the cleanliness, price, plus the sales lady used to work at the place where my grandmother lived. They are super friendly. The food is terrific. And it's a non profit so that also makes it a little cheaper.

EG really does try to make it a home for their residents. Everyone is super nice and helpful, they all know my dad by name and talk to him kindly. They have a chef, and really good food. I have eaten there with my dad several times. The place doesn't have a smell. They communicated well with us regarding my dads needs. My dad is always dressed, shirt tucked in with a belt, shoes on, hair comb he always looks presentable no matter when we pop in and we pop in often. (At least 3 times a week if not more) he has lost some weight but it's more because he is portioned controlled now with meals.

Most of the staff are friendly, but some are standoff-ish. They also talk a good game, but feel some of the staff aren't getting the message. Not following up with preset instructions, or aren't aware of those.

The staff is very attentive and always informs family with any concerns. And the cooks and waiters are extremely attentive to each person's needs, like cutting food into smaller portions. I would highly recommend this facility to family and friends.

This facility is good, it's clean and they provide good care. The food is ok, good quality and variety. Housekeeping/laundry is weekly and they do a good job. Communication with the family is good, they're good about letting me know what mom needs and keeping me updated. Staff is pretty good, not too many complaints. The first month was rough, but once they brought an additional staff member in for the memory care unit it got much better. Before that, since mom was more efficient than some of the other residents, it seemed like she got less care/attention. But they really turned things around by adding another staff member. All places we looked at were on about an 8/1 ratio for residents to staff, but the extra person here in the memory care unit made a big difference. I would recommend them to family and friends.

My Mom has lived at Esplanade Gardens for 7 years & loves it. It’s a beautiful assisted living facility whose staff truly cares about her health, happiness & safety. Excellent facility with a friendly and competent staff! They take excellent care of my father. The staff is well trained and treats residents and visitors with kindness and patience. There is always senior staff available in the event they are needed and they display the same level of kindness. I toured many facilities prior to choosing this one for my father, and I definitely made the right choice!

The cleanliness of the community was great, it is a really nice community and based on our families experience we would recommend them to other families. The meal options on the assisted living side were great, however on the memory care side it seemed like they did not have that many options to pick from and it seemed like the staff did not really pay attention to the residents if they wanted a different options. The meal options on the memory care side could be improved, but overall it was a great experience. They went above and beyond while our loved one was there - it was a short stay but nothing to do with them. They were so attentive and helped our family out in a very hard time, they made it a smooth transition
