Lovely environment

My mother came to Flora's November 2015. She had fallen and broken her back. Previously, she had been at [Removed]. Under the care of Flora, my mother slowly bounced back. Mom's memory issues of course are still present. Flora babied and pampered her, and made my mother feel safe and less anxious. I no longer worry about if mother is taking her medications. Flora fills, administers, and intervenes with the doctor's office when medications have expired. Flora gives balanced continuous meals throughout the day. Mom was also allowed to have her cat stay in her room. That meant everything to my mother.

I liked this place! The costs were clearly stated, the owner was obviously caring. I liked the rural setting and the security was just right. But, I had a problem with the residents. They did not appear to be engaged. They were not in the common area nor were they interacting with one another. Why? What do they do with them to keep them socially engaged?
