My Heritage Court experience

All my concerns have been met. One of my biggest conferns They did not take my mother out of the room enough, although she wasn’t always willing to want to go for her best interest she needs to be around people and you do an excellent job of doing that. You just have more people to give better care it don’t get any better than that.

Toured 14 facilities before choosing Heritage as home

All staff, from house cleaning and maintenance to CNAs and executives, are always kind, friendly, and helpful. The CNAs are typically young, hence they sometimes overlook things that they may have never had to live with themselves or be involved with a family member, such as taking a client's hearing aids out at a convenient time in the evening, even though that client will likely be up for several more hours. Or, not noticing that a client never got their hearing aids when they woke in the morning. So that person simply went without for half the day. On the other hand, this type of event is not at all life threating and very correctable. The leadership is very receptive to concerns and quick to take corrective action. The living spaces are CARPETED! A huge plus to making it feel homey. No rugs are allowed at any care facility, even if the flooring is solely linoleum. The rooms at Heritage are all set in a big square, so any patient can find their room if they just keep walking forward. Even though the food may not be as home cooked as you might hope, it doesn't seem to stop my family member from often cleaning the plate. I appreciate Heritage Memory Care a lot and have every intent to remain here until their services are no longer needed.

Very happy with Heritage Court!

Making the decision of having to find somewhere for my dad to live, who has dementia, was a difficult one. Heritage Court was very welcoming and I knew right away they would take good care of him and I could set my mind at ease. Everything from cleanliness to very helpful staff made Heritage a good choice. Also, whenever I take my dad out or bring him back, I can tell he’s happy based on his interaction with the staff.

Mindful, caring and thorough in all that they do

You can't help but notice how much the Heratige staff must learn about each new resident and yet they take it all in stride. Always open to modifying their SOPs to best fit the needs of your family member. They keep you abreast of any deviations to your loved one's typical patterns, behavior, strength, health, etc. A very reassuring process indeed. They work directly with each resident's Practioner when minor modifications to meds are warranted (e.g.- UTI, etc.). And finally, they treat all residents with respect and the utmost kindness that you could hope for when having to make the difficult decision to relocate your parent or other close relationship to a memory care facility. A big thank you to the entire staff, from the CNAs, to the Maintenance Engineer, to the Executive Director. I hope they know how much they are appreciated.

Our experience with Heritage Court

We were coming out of state and my daughter toured a few places. Heritage Court had a room open up at the right time. We liked their ability to talk about what they like to do with the residents. The staff have been pretty good with communication with the families. On the weekends there are not many activities going on so they are a little slow. Overall I would recommend them to others looking for memory care for their loved ones.

I would recommend

We chose Heritage Court because I got more of a comfortable feeling when I toured it. The room sizes at the facility are adequate for what we need it for. I would recommend to others looking.

Stressful experience

Facility has gone down hill over the past year. Staff shortage has led to unacceptable level of care with day to day hygiene and bathroom assistance. It would be better to have fewer scheduled “activities” and more practical care. Some staff members have been disrespectful to family and unwilling to follow medical instructions. We are currently on a waiting list at another assisted living home.

Outstanding Care providers and Facility

The Heritage is the most warm and caring environment and staff that you can find. We became so close to the amazing care givers that treated our Grandmother with the love, respect and provided top quality care and assistance. We can not say enough about the quality of the living environment, activities provided and support during times when we all needed it most. They are top notch.

Rooms were on the small side

This community was very nice and pleasant. I personally found the rooms to be on the smaller side than previous communities I had toured. However, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The inside was well kept and clean. The outside was in the process of getting a spring cleanup and outdoor furniture was being put out which appeared to be in very good condition to sit on and enjoy sitting outside.

Very nice looking place

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one, and overall I thought it seemed like a very nice place. It was a newer facility, and very clean and well kept. However, I don't think it would have been the best match for our loved one. The facility was a little too large, and they didn't provide quite the level of memory care we needed.

I would give them a 6 out 5.

I would give them a 6 out 5. They have gone above and beyond. We had put money down on an apartment, but didn't really have a move in date. We had a catastrophic health event over Christmas, and they were graceful enough to get her in, and were very accommodating. They have a tremendous amount of patience, the staff is wonderful. They have good activities, and they encourage them to get out and join in. The food is very good, and I think it's a tremendous value.
