Not what expected
The management was in transition when I got the tour the end of August and now the first week of November they still are short handed. Some of the services we are supposed to have, aren't delivered as expected. Apartment is supposed to be cleaned every week but was more like 2 or 3 weeks. They are trying but meanwhile we are not getting what we pay for.

Not up to speed
When I moved in 4 months ago, the Holiday management was in place. My first week at Las Brisas, the manager was fired, no replacement, housekeeping were fired, and kitchen staff left. Now, a new manager and crew are working hard to rebuild and get back to delivering on the services promised in the advertising. I am confident, and progress is being made. This is a beautiful facility, and I plan on a nice long stay.

The staffing is currently very low. Meal times are slow and the house cleaning service is minimal. Currently the residence is not full and they seem to be struggling. A new management has taken over, so maybe things will be getting better.

We are not able to rate the activities, the meals and dining service as well as the overall value for cost because we are not the residents living there. However, we found the place bright cheerful and well organized. Everyone was friendly.

A Place for Dad
Holiday Las Brisas is definitely a place you should put at the top of your list to check out. It's working out well for our family, and I can't see how they could do better. The staff we've interacted with have been super nice. And the cost is good for a one-bedroom. You can't hardly get just a regular apartment for that price in town.

Beautiful Location-Friendly Staff
The food is really good. The activities is good. We picked this community, because it's a beautiful location, they have a pool table and it checked off a few things on my list. It's a independent living community. My loved one has made new friends and is thriving. We got info from A Place for Mom. It's just beautiful and they have a chain of communities, my loved one can travel at any other locations and stay for free. It's pet friendly. My loved one has a beautiful room, and is alowed to BBQ. I would reccommed to other families.

Perfect home for mom or dad
Las Brisas is a great place and it is a great value for the money. We met with the salesman here and he was wonderful, we signed up and it was a quick and easy process. The location of the facility is also great for our family. It is so beautiful, it is up in these trees and in a quiet and peaceful environment. The top floor has a deck and you are able to go outside and overlook the city, it is on a hill. I would absolutely recommend this facility.

Our experience of Las Brisas
We chose this facility in the beginning because of the value for your money for the apartment size she was able to get. She was also able to bring her cat.
The food was awful, it was more cafeteria style food and the presentation was not good. It was also not good quality, fresh food.
The manager was good to work with and was very nice but once management goes home at 730, you are on your own. They do not have anyone on duty so if you have an issue or if you are locked out of your problem, there is no one there to help.
We discovered after she moved in that the shuttle service was only offered 3 days a week from 9 -11:30. If you had any appointments after that, you had to find another way to get there.
Overall, I would not recommend this facility, we did not have the best experience here.

Review of Las Brisas
Management staff are kind, efficient and genuinely caring individuals. Activity director is outstanding and provides excellent events, special outings and celebrations. The food is really good with a varied menu. The facility is well maintained. When Covid-19 first appeared, the facility acted swiftly with measures to keep the residents safe and healthy.

Disappointed in service. Not what they advertise
We placed my mother here in the fall of 2019. There has been ongoing staffing problems. There has been so many constant problems that there must be problems with the management. They fired the cook, then the driver and neither has been replaced. The staffing in the kitchen is not adequate. The food is below standard. The site is lovely and you cannot observe these internal problems and of course no one mentions them during the interview process. This place problems has been ongoing with no resolution for months. Very disappointed.

She organizes weekly lunches at various restaurants in the county. interesting lectures and entertainment, are constant. special events, including, birthday parties for every resident. So thankful for our [name removed]
I have lived at Las Brisas for almost 6 years. I hope to be here as long as I can. I am 88 yrs and my pacemaker battery is good for 10 more years and I hope all off my other body parts hang in there. I also have a kitty and she is also very happy we are living here. We have a very special young women, [name removed], who is our "Our Resident Experience Coordinator", that presents every opportunity to each and every one of our residents to keep active and entertained and aware of the opportunity to keep our senior years full and happy. She has this wonderful ability and "know how" to bring special outside professional people into us that enriches our senior years. If she could be twins, triplets, or multiple people, I am sure every facility like Las Brisas would be lucky and eager to have our special lady on their staff.

Holiday Newsletter
I would like to give our activity director 5 PLUS STARS! She knows her job and does it to a "T", or a "P", (for perfect).
[Name removed] fills our senior days with activities, morning, afternoon, and early evenings. Never a dull moment! I would like to thank her so much for what she did for me personally that ended up including other residents including other residents also. I am a triplet, and she featured "my story" in our monthly "Holiday Newsletter". That started a regular monthly resident story. We got to know the person featured on a much better level and as some of these residents moved on to full care or deceased, we were glad for the information we received of their lives.
Our triplet story was shared in 1939 at the world's fair and again in our high school newsletters. Now, in my late 80s, I am so grateful to close out my years with my senior friends knowing that we three triplets existed and were blessed.

One resident’s opinion.
I’ve been a resident at Las Brisas for 1&1/2 yrs.and can personally vouch for the staff, especially the activities director, [name removed]. She goes above and beyond to provide interesting and enjoyable programs to keep us informed and entertained.
From weekly outings to restaurants and points of interest, in-house games, movies, lectures, live music, happy hours and her ingenious and always appealing decorations, she keeps us engaged and always anticipating “what’s next?”
The management and kitchen staff strive to keep the residents happy. It’s not an easy job to please 100 people with diverse tastes and personalities, all the time but they try their best.
Some people like to complain no matter what you do to satisfy them.
As for me, I love living here.

Las Brisas and their staff are all caring and competent individuals. I would especially like to emphasize the fantastic event and activity coordination handled by [name removed]. I have accompanied my mom on several of outings organized: Morro Bay, Harmony, Santa Margarita, and Santa Margarita Lake... each outing included information provided by docents and/or volunteers. [Name removed] also goes above and beyond to decorate Las Brisas for each occasion. She brings in numerous guests that dance, play music or a combination thereof. She provides group and individual games to meet the needs of the residence. She is often on hand to help serve meals and provides daily announcements for activities and even has a regular Trivia quiz during lunches. Specific to my mom, [name removed] encouraged her to share her flag collection over a series of 5-10 talks over the course of the year... words cannot describe how much this pleased my mom. Las Brisas would not be the happy and lively place it is without [name removed].
