They are working on improving the activities. As stated above. Food quality and food service times. It was very slow. Activities were lacking.

Review for Solista Hickory by Cogir
The accommodations are more than plentiful. Its well maintained and for costs are reasonable. I would certainly give a 5 plus. The only issue is communication is very poor. It's issues with calling them and speaking with someone. You can choose an option for sales or customer service. You can leave a message and the one time I did I didn't receive a call back. That being said needs attention.

Love the facility as the apartments are clean and recently remodeled. Love the community feel at Solista. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have lots of activities to do and take shopping trip’s occasionally.

Recent remodel and the building looks fantastic! Staff is very accommodating and wonderful rehab team available for all your therapy needs! Management team is very hands on and always willing to work with each resident!

Great place
My mom moved here in April and has been very happy there! They have good food, a variety of activities, and staff are very helpful. They have a wellness coordinator who interacts regularly with residents and is a great resource to go to with questions or concerns about your loved ones. She can connect your loved one to any needed resources, such as physical therapy or in-home health assistance.

Great place!
This is a great community to move a family member to. It is clean environment with all the amenities you could ask for. The staff is friendly, caring, and there to help as needed. I would recommend to anyone!

Great tour and excited my dad is moving in!
Solista seems like a great facility and [name removed]gave us a comprehensive and well guided tour of the building, grounds and community. Everything is so clean and well cared for and the living units themselves are all very nice with a good variety of options. The community offerings are great as well with a good menu (food looked excellent) and all sorts of activities. Excited to have my dad moving here. Perfect mix of independent living and community.

Started doing more meetings with us and food has definitely improved, nice to have a voice, I was a nurse for 20 years and we have had a lot more fun with arts and musicians it’s almost a grand party daily God is good

Although we are not making a move right now, I know where I will be going, Excellent tour by [name removed], he knew right off the bat that my parents were just looking around before making a decision in a couple months and he was so thorough and everyone had a smiling face, it was nice seeing the people actually doing things!

Solista. A great experience !!
Solista is a beautiful facility with so many things to offer. They have rooms to suit each individual’s needs. It is easy to make friends as the residents are very welcoming . Physical therapy is available to those who need it. The activity room is usually filled with residents to do crafts ,play games and some days they go shopping on the bus. Having an on site beauty shop is very convenient You can be pampered and not even need to leave the facility . The staff all work hard to meet your needs with friendly, respectful attitudes. If you are considering moving into an independent living community I would highly recommend your taking a tour and seeing it for yourself.

Facilities are immaculate. Very well kept and maintained. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The dining experience is very good and flexible to specific needs. Majority of residents are women, but it would still be nice if some of the activities were geared towards the men or at least unisex.

Poor management
Staff is excellent but overworked. Food is poor most of time- meat way overdone and dry. Rooms and facility nice. Management is poor. They don't help w/moving in or out, don't treat staff well, and ignore residents, and if you complain, they'll tell you "if you don't like it, get out." Big turnover.

They have been told many times that they could improve in the food. My mother and many other residents have complained about that. It's a beautiful facility and the apartments are very nice. Mom says the people are nice too.

All 5s...but it is a retirement community. Will need an acceptance for CNA (Better@Home). They are friendly, to all of the residents. It is a great community. They have various apartment sizes. My loved one has a studio and they have 1 and 2 bedrooms.

The facility has been renovated recently. It is now bright and inviting. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are a lot of activities for the residents to participate in.

A place of belonging for homesick parents
My parents were in need of a place they could feel at home. They are doing very well in the two months they have been at Solista. It is a huge relief to see them thriving. They often refer to their apartment as "our house."

New home
Recently toured this facility in attempt to find a new home for my mother in law. [name removed], the Sales Director, was such a pleasure to work with! [name removed]spent time speaking with us, trying to get to know my mother in law, and explaining the community. We then took a thorough tour and were extremely pleased. The remodel looks very nice, everything was very clean and the facility hosts numerous bonuses such as a library room/ game room/ and even its own chapel space. We also met and spoke with many residents to get a “first hand view” of the community. We honestly can’t wait to move Mom in soon as we think this is the perfect place for her to have her independence while also being surrounded by many new friends. Fingers crossed! Thanks again and major kudos to [name removed]!!
