[name removed] (our introductory POC and runs the facility) was a dream to work with. He was responsive, empathetic, caring, listened to our concerns and questions. IMO one of the most important aspects of [name removed] handling of families and residents is that he imparts a human touch in his words and deeds. [name removed] and [name removed] (spelling?) were two of the aides who worked most closely with my uncle. Naturally, they spoke with us and kept us informed of all aspects of his care and progress. They were fantastic to work with! I cannot say I experienced negative dealings with anyone. The staff was attentive, responsive, and direct with my uncle when necessary about him not trying to get out of bed by himself for his own safety. My uncle was largely happy with the meals.

I would give them all 5's. We were very impressed by not only how they treated my father, but also my mother. We would and we have recommended Inspirations to other families!

I’m writing to express my gratitude for the excellent care that Inspirations is providing for my dear friend [name removed]. It was a painful process locating the perfect assistant living facility for [name removed]. She suffered a few setbacks before becoming a resident of Inspirations. Inspirations have eliminated all my concerns about [name removed] getting the best care available and I would recommend them as the place the place that I would love to reside if the need arises. Again thank you Inspirations for the excellent care being given to [name removed] Jacequalyn Conner

I have already have friends asked, and I have recommend The staff is doing well beyond what they need to. The residents are always into some type of activity whether that be crafts, going outside, or having people come in. The food was decent for the residents. The dining room was an open concept, and the community was recently remodeled in the last year. All the residents were able to socialize during meal times. I was able to bring my own food and have dinner with my loved one. I was even able to take my loved one out to dinner.

We chose this community because they were smaller which we thought would be a better atmosphere, the location, and the price was more affordable. The room sizes were fine. The food options were okay, but they were not as good as some of the bigger facilities. They did not have a lot of activities provided for the residents in the memory care facility and her level of dementia was a lot lower than other residents, so my mom got a little bit bored and did not have enough stimulation. I would want others to know that the staff members here did truly care about the residents. I would recommend, overall and they were wonderful.

We toured this community for care for my mom. We liked speaking with the staff on the questions that we had on the care that is offered. The menu and the list of activities are very nice for the residents. We wanted a bigger community for the care for mom. We would recommend a tour for other families.

I'am very pleased with this community, and everything is working out well for my mother since her move here. I know she is safe, and in good hands. Before her move to this facility, she wasn't very calm, and wasn't very on her own. Since her move she her been more calm, and the staff is taking good care of her. They have been pleasant to work with. This is the perfect for my mother, and her needs.

HeartHomes At Linthicum 804 Camp Meade Road Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 Questions for Provider/My Notes (1)Question: Clean as a whistle. Is the community fresh and clean? What services does maintenance provide? Who does the laundry and what is the cost?(1)My Tour Notes: Reasonably clean. All services included in the monthly fee. Laundry services included and provided daily. (2)Question: Follow your nose. If you find scents in a concentrated area this may indicate a single incident. Scents throughout the community likely indicate a problem. (2)My tour notes: No bad scents. Only scent was in the kitchen, as expected. (3)Question: Ask to watch activities. Are they well attended? Look for small and large group activities, trips or outings. Is transportation available, if so how often and what is the charge?(3) My tour notes: None scheduled at time of visit. We were told that there were weekly trips/outings provided; transportation included and provided via their vans. (4)Question: Staff attitude and friendliness. Observe the staff interacting with residents. Do they listen and make eye contact? If you feel welcomed, so will your loved one. (4) My tour notes: Tour provided by a staff member who seemed very energenic and concerned about residents. Chef smiled and said hello, as well as one other staff member. (5)Question: Outdoor spaces. Ask to see any designated outdoor areas. Does it feel safe and secure? Do they host activities such as gardening in these areas? (5)MY tour notes: Small fenced in area with cushioned seating. One resident had tomato plant. (6)Question: Nutrition and fitness. Discuss entree choices. Ask about dining hours and procedures. Does the residence offer any fitness rooms or programs? (6)My tour notes: Meal schedule provided with package and shows good variety (plus two snack periods). No fitness rooms observed. (7)Question: Safe and sound. Are the bathrooms accessible; do they have grab bars in convenient locations? How does a resident contact staff during an emergency? (7)my tour notes: Each room had a bathroom with bars. Forgot to check emergency contact. (8)Question: Personal care. What level of care does the community staff provide? Is care charged by the hour, by the service, or is it included? How are medications managed? (8)my tour notes: Staff provides all normal in-house care and medications are given by staff at no extra cost. Optional cost for certain incidents, e.g., specialty nurse for injury recovery, xrays… (9)Question: Moving out. Ask about move-out criteria. Under what circumstances is a resident asked to move? What type of notice is given by them or by you? (9)my tour notes: Can care for dimentia/alzheimer's, but not equipped for 24/7 medical care. Resident can move with "proper notice". (10)Question: Trust your instincts. Can you imagine you or your loved one living there and being comfortable? Did you feel at ease while visiting? Was the staff friendly and inviting? (10)my tour notes: May not be 100% compatible with mom; some cons: only 16 residents, small room, limited outdoor area, no mini-fridge for personal snacks. Pros: full set of furniture provided at no cost.

They really wanted to make her feel comfortable when we first arrived. They are a very warm group and very attentive. From where she came from before, she might have to sit for 2 hours waiting for someone, but here they answer within two minutes. They want to help and want to be kind to her. They are very good communicators. If my insurance is messing up with the medications they let me know. They are very kind and loving people with a lot of experience and that is very comforting.

Our experience with Hearthomes at Linthicum has been a good one so far! They've been very helpful across the board. The staff have provided me with a lot of different suggestions and additional information regarding care.

It's clean and nicely decorated. They seem to be nice, and friendly when I go in. I see that they treat them alright. They do call me if she wants to talk. They are not the most expensive but they are all very expensive. I like the people that work there.

This community was okay. The environment seemed more like a nursing home and not like an assisted living community. It just was not as homely as the others we have seen. We didn't have time to see what activities and care services were offered.

They don't have an activities director right now. The caregivers and nurses perform these functions at this time and do a great job at it. The location is a nice size and a nice fit for my mom. I think the food looks good and is prepared fresh daily. It's kept very clean and they are the least expensive facility for compared to others with the same amenities. It's not too big and not too small. This is a great place to place a family member!

Small one level facility with only 16 residents. Looked and smelled clean. Studio room with furniture, bath and closet. Room for a recliner to add. Good staff to resident ratio. Has a separate building for Dementia patients. More affordable pricing than the big places. I had a good feeling about this place.

A Place for Mom has scored Inspirations at Linthicum 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
