Absolutely LOVE this place.
They always treat the residents with respect. Absolutely everyone, regardless of their job.
We chose this facility because of the director of admissions (now executive director), [name removed]. As we toured the facility, she greeted everyone by name. You could tell it was genuine and not for our benefit. I cannot stress enough how thoughtful and caring she is. She is just an amazing person!

Fabulous staff
I have had a wonderful experience with Langdon. My mother has been in the skilled nursing twice, and they have recently added a lot of staff which has made their communication, attentiveness, and flexibility evident. I am wary of for-profit senior care, but they genuinely care here and make every effort to treat their patients with kindness and patience.
The food in the skilled nursing isn't great, but I think it's better in the assisted living.

Skilled Nursing at Langdon Place
Perhaps our experience was the result of COVID-19 but we feel compelled to share it as someone needs to improve things. We will stick to facts and they are as follows:
Our parents catheter was not closed properly and was leaking all over the floor and shoes. During one visit I noticed that my parents hands, clothing and wheelchair had feces on them. Another time when we visited there was blood on the floor next to our parents bed. on several occasions when I toileted my parent I noticed that the brief was soiled. The room was not clean and the heating cover was constantly falling off on the floor. My parent came home with a major urinary tract infection. During another stay at The Keene Center my parent came home with C-DIFF and a almost near death bowel blockage. I am sharing this so others will be aware of this and hopefully something will change.

I thought the people there were lovely - they were very nice. And I did like the fact they had a locked down unit. However, the place was rundown, dirty, and grimy. I just couldn’t get past the stained carpets and state of disrepair. I understand possible challenges in getting workmen in for repairs during Covid, but it just was not clean. And I wouldn't want to place my mom or myself there.

I am very comfortable here and the staff are very good. They have activities like bingo and outside activities for the residents to participate in. They have a patio, they have cards and movies also for the residents to participate in also.

The place is clean and the staff is nice and tries. The food is awful and i don't think it lives up to the daily requirement for vitamins and nutrients. My father went into heart failure do to so much sodium, but otherwise it is nice.

Langdon place received an A- from my mother. Super clean, provided for everything she needs. Close to where she lives now. Unfortunately a studio is not available at this time and an efficiency is above her price range.

We are happy with the care from this community. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The menu is good and she seems to like the variety. They do have a lot of activities for participants to keep active. We like the environment and the care and value. We have recommended this community for the care of a loved one.

The staff are really trying to help
My mother-in-law is a difficult person and she is not making any effort on her own to join in the activities but the staff here at Langdon Place of Keene are trying to work with her. They do make sure that she eats in the dining room and they are encouraging her to be around the other residents and mingle. She has gone on a few of the field trips and likes the Happy Hour every Thursday. Her biggest problem is that she can not remember when events take place like the movies or happy hour so they are working with her and a written daily schedule to help with her memory issues. We like that they make sure that all the residents rather they are in the independent, assisted living or in the Memory Unit are able to spend time together.

Pretty Country Setting
It is located in and very pretty country setting. It is nice and quiet. The inside of the community is very charming, it is decorated very nicely. It provides a very home like feeling. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. We are pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.
