Excellent care and wonderful staff

I went to Manzano to recover from hip replacement surgery. I had a clean and attractive room overlooking the garden. The staff, from top to bottom, made me feel welcome and very cared-for. My calls were answered promptly, even late at night. The food was varied and attractively presented, with alternatives available and also tasty. My therapists were knowledgeable and helped me regain my mobility and understand the changes going on in me. My room was cleaned daily. Everyone, from the in-house physician, the staff nurse-practitioner, my Case Manager, the Social Worker, the nursing and care staffs, the therapists...everyone was focussed on helping me regain my health and independence. Thank you ALL!!

Oh Feel so Bad!

Had my mother in there years ago and am just able to speak of it. Nightmare Medicare misuse, her fecal in her bed, just to start. Also pulled a bait and switch on me. Gave me on the quote, the bill came in double. Disturbing.

Don't choose this facility

My dad was here for rehab when he broke his shoulder. I had to go down here late at night at times to get the nurse to give him care. I had to be on them constantly about giving him a bath as well. I had been trying to get him out of here and into another facility because it was not up to par. They sent him home with my brother and he told them to make arrangements for a hospital bed and chair and they sent him home with nothing in place. The smell of the facility nearly kills you. I would not send anyone I know here.

Good and Compassionate People

This is a wonderful place! My mother is getting therapy after a fall and they’re very good, compassionate people. They are honest and kind and it’s just wonderful! It’s like being in heaven. After terrible experiences at other communities, this gives me some hope for the senior care industry.
