Ascot Home Care

Wanted to "Thank" [Name Removed] & staff for their loving care of both my parents: [Name Removed] until their passing respectively [Dates Removed] . I was my parents primary care giver for 3 years until their Alzheimer's / Dementia + physical limitations became to overwhelming for home care. Per the family decision to place them in a Board & Care (under Hospice Supervision) -- I will honestly say that I looked at over 20 residences throughout San Diego County before choosing = Ascot Home Care. There were roughly "9" care facilities that I didn't even bother spending 10 minutes at because of the Location / Neighborhood...EX: Cars parked in yard - delayed maintenance on property - smelled of cleaning products - dirty linens in bed / bathroom - cheap food with fillers like rice- carrots- celery. If I couldn't live there - neither were my parents... Ascot Home Care: Large Custom built 2 story home tucked on a hillside with various fruit tress and a great view - lots of natural light. It's a 12 bed facility with at least 3 long term staff on duty throughout the day & forgot how many at night ? However [Name Removed] and her husband live on the premises as it's their home...A previous post lists problems with dispensing medication ? Have no clue to what's that about as Ascot is continually state audited / certified - works with various hospice organizations - and I know as fact that they report to health professionals on any patient changes whether or not it has to do with new or previously prescribed medications. [Name Removed] was always in touch w me per the caring process of my parents. And I will say that I was always welcomed in her home...I'm very grateful to [Name Removed] / Staff for the way they treated my parents with love and dignity until their passing...[Name Removed] called me both times the day before my parents passed telling me it was "their time." I was really at peace through the whole process.... Thank you [Name Removed] ... :) [Name Removed]

Marama

Marama is an all-inclusive, immersive program designed to enhance cognition and reverse cognitive decline. There are only two communities in the US offering this program. In this immersive program focus is in creating a non-toxic environment, specific nutrition and supplements, exercise, sleep, brain health, destressing as some of the pillars of the program in support of their residents needs. Residents are engaged at all levels and carefully monitored for success with metrics to show progress. This is based off the research from Dr. Dale Berdesen, included in the book "The End of Alzheimer's Program". Residents that are early to mid- dementia have the potential for the greatest results.
