perfect answer for mom's next chapter

Meeting with [name removed], the intake person was stress-free, comfortable, and certainly eased my anxiety about the situation. My mom loves her new home, her roommate and her are bff's. The staff is very caring, sincere, and well qualified for taking care of the elderly and their unique situations. The staff stays in touch with me about any concerns and I never feel out of the loop about how mom is doing when I'm not there. They have get-togethers when they invite family in to share the experience with the residents. I can't give enough praise to the staff and the facility itself.

Review for Meadowview

Hard to get through to admin sometimes. We would get calls and when we tried to call back, it was hard to find out why. The food was ok, sometimes not hot and very bland.

Beyond disappointed

There is a huge turn over. I was not impressed with anyone there. The med techs would disagree with doctor's orders and refuse to administer prescriptions. The main administrator was rarely available and gossiped. After my dad's passing several of his prescriptions from there were found at an employees house/in possession. I really have nothing good to say.

Satisfied so far with Meadowview Assisted Living

Meadowview is a nice community with caring personnel and services. Personnel is prompt and in touch with the family, if something occurs that we should know about. The activities are warm and welcoming to encourage a time of fun, coming together as a community, and fellowship on a daily basis. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is a happy gathering time for all residents. Meals and menus are always posted near dining room which is kept clean and festive. The decorations throughout the building are colorful and interesting. Great atmosphere.

I would not recommend it unless they had no other choice. Especially if the resident was mobile and was functioning cognitively.

Meadowview review

I was deceived believing that I would have physical and occupational therapy in a gym equal or better than the rehab facility that I was in. I was also told that I would have transportation to and from my doctor appointments in Chapel Hill. Neither were true. Therefore. I had to find outside services and pay [fee removed] one way to my doctor visits. I left because for me I did not see the value for what I was paying. Besides meals were barely decent or nutritional for diabetic. It was an overpriced hotel with assistance. The Executive Director is aware how disappointed I was directly and through her staff. Although she never addressed how my stay was going. There were several staff members that respected and truly cared for the residents. Not many residents were satisfied with the food or accommodations with there needing repairs for several bathrooms. Maybe for the resident population the OT & PT was adequate , however for a higher functioning person they will need to have to get outside therapy. It's hard to say if I would or wouldn't recommend. I know definitely I would not recommend to those needing memory care to become a resident at Meadowview. They do not have the staff to take care of them or the accommodations.

Review for Meadowview

It's a very nice place. Good people working there. They do something a couple times a day for exercise and entertainment. He shares a room with a nice gentleman. He has bathroom shower all the good stuff. He has the option of eating in his room or going to the dining hall. Whatever he feels like. I have already recommended to others.

A Good To Place To Be

Meadowview is a good value for us and we feel that the pay is equal to what our loved one is getting for care. The community is clean and always smells nice. The staff are very friendly to my loved one family when we visit. It would be nice to see more caregiver staff to care for the residents. Overall, we are happy with our experience. There are three meals a day served, and the residents does have a choice for meals. Our loved enjoys the meals.

The leadership is trying but biggest issues is with work ethic

The staff member are all pretty friendly, and they are doing more activities with the residents which is a blessing. However the food is mediocre and the med techs are not doing the best job. The care is just not constant, for example our loved one dentures will go without being cleaned for a few days.
