Our experience at Methuen Village
I wish someone would have given a better run down on the bus/van situation as my mom has had her own car for many years. Also, a little better communication on what you actually get for your very high price. People are kind and competent that work there. But for the money, there were a few things I felt could have gone better. I will say that every time I have reached out and asked a question or had an issue, they have been responsive and attentive. So just because things didn't go super smoothly 100%, they want it to. So I don't want to throw them under the bus. They are a wonderful facility. And maybe it works 100% for some? There were just a few things that were a sticky point for us. I just think people can learn from their mistakes. And they have very few. I would say that [name removed] went above and beyond in terms of communication prior to mom being there. Just maybe that little tweak. I would suggest contact information with job titles and directives. And an outline of how the logistics work. Easy. And makes their job easier in the long run. Otherwise, I have zero issues. They have been 1000% kind.

My Tour Experience at Methuen Village
Methuen was a nice community; however, at the time they didn't offer the services that my loved one needed. Due to this reasoning we decided to go with another community.

A Welcomed Suggestion
I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The community is clean, friendly, and it is really nice. My loved one likes the community very much.
The staff are very accessible if we have any questions or concerns about our loved one.
There are options for meals for the residents to choose from. There is a monthly theme for different countries to learn about it. Mass, games, movies, and more are some of the activities offered to the residents.
There are different options to choose from for the monthly fee. The more care your loved one needs the higher the monthly fee would be.

Our Tour Experience
The staff at Methuen Village were very nice and took a lot of time with us. The people seemed happy there. I had no issues with them. They weren't our first choice simply because the location wasn’t ideal for our family.

Tour of Methuen Village
We toured Methuen Village and it was a nice tour and they answered all of our questions that we had. It is a smaller community, only around 22 residents so I felt more crammed here than at some other places that we saw that were bigger. It did not seem as clean, they charged extra to do laundry, and it was more expensive so we went with another facility.

When It's My Time, I Wouldn't Have a Problem Going There
I m very pleased with this community. My loved one is happy to be here and visiting with other residents.
The staff is wonderful.
During the lock down there were some residents who were social eaters. The community was able to use proper social distancing and brought others together. This allowed the residents to eat more.

Thank you for your endorsement of Methuen Village! Throughout 2020 we did try our best to remain a vibrant community with residents socializing and enjoying meals together. Thank goodness our "lock-down" didn't last too long. We are back to full-service dining and residents are engaged in enjoyable activities, entertainment and fitness classes. With our community among the first to have access to the vaccine in January we very much look forward to getting back to a full normal in 2021!

All in all, our experience was good
We chose Methuen Village because it was most affordable and the location. It was in between distance for all of the siblings. It was easy to get to for everybody. They did the Mediterranean diet here so it was very healthy, overall the food was pretty good. One thing he really liked was they would bring in entertainment for the residents. he always looked forward to that. My father thinks that they needed more activities geared for men, he was not into gardening or painting or things like that. My sister and I were here 2-3 times a week so we got to know the staff members very well. We had good experiences with them for the most part. They always really tried with my father and were very kind and responsive. I would definitely recommend the facility.

One to be Considered
We had a relationship with Methuen Village before my mother moved in. She did respite stays there when we went on vacation. She got to know them and they got to know her so when she moved in it made the transition much easier. I don't have a lot to compare it to but in looking at other communities I feel they are a good value. They are very accommodating.

Highest Recommendation
Methuen Village is a very well run and maintained assisted living and memory care facility.
The apartments are spacious, well equipped and nicely laid out.
Best of all, the staff's performance is just stellar. Everyone is friendly, competent and genuinely concerned with the well being of their residents.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

More Of A Community Feel
Mom had been in an extremely nice community but she needed to be more independent so we moved her here and that was the best choice for her. it's a smaller community which is nice and it gives off a homier feel to it. She is getting out more and doing more acitivies. I haven't' asked her about the food but I am assuming she likes it since she is gaining weight. The staff is wonderful very friendly.

READ THEIR CONTRACT CAREFULLY.
IN LESS THAN A MONTH MY MOM FELL TWICE WHILE UNDER THEIR CARE,NOT ACCEPTABLE ,SHE ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL AND WAS NEVER WELL ENOUGH TO RETURN TO THE HOME .

I can appreciate your frustration that your Mom fell while living at our community. This was unfortunate and I can imagine it was frightening for her. As you may be aware, seniors are at high risk for falls whether they live at home, in an assisted living community or in a nursing facility. In fact, falls are the leading cause of hospital admissions among the elderly population nationally, and can result in injuries and even death. Falls are often caused by chronic health conditions, such as heart disease, dementia and low blood pressure, which can cause dizziness or impairments, such as poor vision or muscle weakness. Also, some illnesses and medications can affect balance which can lead to falls.
All of us in the assisted living industry are well aware of this common problem and, collectively, we try our best to help residents avoid falls through falls prevention programs, and keeping a watchful eye. Unfortunately, we can’t prevent every fall. We do, however, regularly examine any falls that have happened at our community to incorporate any lessons learned into our falls prevention program.
I am sorry that your experience did not match the standards we expect to meet for our residents and their families. Our community values Resident Quality of Life above everything else, and we do everything we can to provide personal care and supportive services to ensure a safe and comfortable living arrangement for the seniors who live with us.

Greeted warmly by staff. Really nice to see lots of residents in midst of daily activities. The facilities were very nice, and the rooms were wonderful. Enjoyed hearing about the heart healthy menu, another plus. The country kitchen is a very nice touch. I could see my mother liking it here.

Great Location!!
The guide that gave me a great tour of the community was very nice. He informed me of all the activities that are offered. Their great beautician that they have in the community. I really liked the interaction between the staff and the residents.
