My review of PQSL
This has been a rough time for my mom but also for myself. PQSL has made the transition as smooth as can be. Most of my dealings have been with the sales director. She has been professional, polite, attentive and punctual throughout the whole process. I have dealt with the business office manager a few times and he is very helpful, polite and positive. The front desk gal is professional and very nice. A good start to walking in the building. The maintenance guy and has been super helpful with assorted small things and is always polite and ready to assist. An excellent crew all around. I believe mom is in good hands. I recently toured the Pacifica RPQ community for my parent and was very impressed. The welcoming atmosphere was very reassuring. The staff were warm and pleasant to the other residents. [name removed]the administrator and [name removed]the marketer took a lot of time with us to answer our questions. We left our tour feeling confident that this is a well run community.

My dad has absolutely loved his experience at Rancho Peñasquitos Senior Living. The new team of directors has made such a positive impact—the Executive Director is incredibly involved, approachable, and transparent, which gives families real peace of mind. The community has a strong presence of veterans, which creates a unique bond and sense of belonging for the residents. The care, engagement, and welcoming environment make it truly stand out as an outstanding assisted living community. The staff was friendly and took care of him. The management listened and if any problems came up, it was taken care of right away. The caregivers made sure my dad had everything he needed. If he was low on something they would call and let me know. Communication was good. My dad liked it there and the staff was always stopping in to talk to him.

My mother has lived here for several years and the last 2 years have been especially good. As her need for more personal care has increased, the caregivers have stepped up their attention to her personal cleanliness and to that of her room. Even with her lack of mobility, they make sure she is included in the activities as she is able. The staff is very kind and patient but of most importance is their competence and attention to her needs. The smaller size in number of residents and of the facility itself has been a very good fit. The med-tech’s are excellent in their administering medicines, observing daily for any health changes and then notifying family of any medical issues of concern.

Just wanted to praise RP Senior first floor memory care! I needed to pickup my dear friend for an early morning doctor's appointment. I needed to leave at 7:00 AM. Everything was flawless and I checked out at 7:01. This took professional teamwork and planning and communication within the facility. Floor Supervisor, care givers, med technician and even the maintenance supervisor all had to know their job and work as a team. They made it look easy. Thank you! Thank you!

My sister started in the assisted living facility. When she got the diagnosis of Alzheimer's, we moved her to the Memory Care Unit. She is doing fine, the staff keeps me updated about her condition. Every staff member I have interacted with has been very supportive, positive and helpful. I have a great relationship with the Executive Director who always responds to my questions in a timely manner. Our family is very happy with Pacifica Rancho Penasquitos.

I like most that they are friendly and inviting and I feel mom is genuinely cared for. They could definitely improve on food being more nutritious, physical activities and getting the residents outside, communication to family members about the residents.

The facility was nicely decorated when we first brought our mother there. However, there was a new décor implemented, which was more sterile, modern and cold in my opinion. That was the only negative thing about the facility that I had. The staff was outstanding in their commitment and compassion for the residents.

My dad resided at Pacifica and was here for just 2 months. The staff, facility and amenities are very nice. We decided to move him to Texas because it’s $[removed]k cheaper but besides that we would’ve stayed longer.

Well, I would say most of the people that made me feel comfortable in choosing this were extremely friendly, happy and attentive. But unfortunately, it seems like there's a lot of turnover in this industry and now most of them are gone, so I really didn't know how to answer the question. I'm not saying that the new ones aren't as pleasant and share the same qualities, but the turnover is difficult for the residents and the residence family members.

My husband would have benefited from more stimulation. He was mentally alert with all his facilities but physically totally dependent. The staff were wonderful, so kind and caring. But he was in the memory care unit because of his level of care. Sitting in front of the constant TV with severely dementia patients wasn't the answer. The unit itself was originally very dark and drab but it was receiving a makeover which could only help. There needed to be more activities, gatherings in the patio areas, music activities etc.

From our perspective, it's seems that information isn't always offered directly. So we had ask many questions on basic information. So it felt like once the money was paid, we were on our own except when they raise the rent. That's happened three times in a year. The memory care staff has been great. But the office staff is non existent. I'd still recommended it, but with warnings.

Pacifica, Rancho Penasquitos. They are very caring, friendly, kind people who take their jobs seriously. The facility is clean, affordable, and they offer activities throughout the day to appeal to to a wide range of interests. They typically offer three outings a week, so that residence can do some light shopping, go out to lunch, or take a scenic drive. The food is good, and the menu is flexible so that residents have choices. My dad is getting more exercise, socialization, and mental activities to keep him engaged throughout the day. We are so thankful to the staff at Pacifica for all that they do!

My Uncle moved into Pacifica Senior Living Rancho Penasquitos straight from the hospital. There, we found a group of professionals who work seamlessly as a team. I get reports of him doing activities so I can keep up to date on his wellbeing. They contact me right away if he needs something I can bring him. All team members are always in a good mood; Its quite amazing! My Uncle has developed a group of friends for dining and feels at home. The place is clean and fun things are alway happening. He loves that the dining rooms and activities are a short distance from his apartment door. The Director, [name removed], has an open door policy and listens. Basically, I feel secure that when I'm not with my uncle, they will take good care of him. This is a great place!

I think the staff is thorough and very friendly. My Dad told his doctor just the other day "the people that work there are very nice." They keep his room clean and do a great job with the laundry. Dad is enjoying the food, as well.

My Dad moved to their Memory Care, and the entire staff are so kind, and such a great help to my Father. The whole team at Pacifica RP are friendly, caring and very good at their job. Knowing my Dad is well taken care of gives me such a piece of mind. It is a beautiful location, modern, clean. A really pleasant place to live. Really nice front room, patios and activity rooms. The Memory care areas are just as nice as the assisted living spaces. Shout out to [names removed] for the great job they do! It has been the best choice we have made for my Father and his care.
