We picked this community, because of the proximity to me. They have lovely areas to walk around Peregrine Delmar. The people, every single one of them treated my dad like he was their dad from the weight staff, to the nurses. They were incredible! Great Solution for a Family
This is a great facility! Wonderful, caring staff, good communication and beautiful grounds.
My loved one enjoys the front porch and the library. And has made good friends with her table mates. We are thankful for Peregrine as it has been a great solution for a family member who could no longer live completely independently.

Kind + caring = comfort
I am greeted cheerfully each time I enter the building to visit my Mom. They take care of so many big and small details such as daily trash removal, check in on her to see that she is okay and so much more. Mom had a fall one time and I could not be more pleased with how they handled it and called to inform me. For the first time in years, I can take a vacation with out a lot of stress over Moms care. Mom is a tough, old school, 88 year old. She did not want to like any part of an old age place but I see her smiling more and more when she is in the hall. She leaves for meals 1/2 hour early just to be around the business. Each of the staff members are kind cheerful, patient and caring. I could not have asked for a better place for Mom.

Our Experience
The staff is so loving. Impeccable housekeeping. Does personal laundry and cleans rooms weekly. The meals are good. I wish the activities were better. I would recommend this facility to others, based on our experience.

Pros and cons of Peregrine
Pros- Very kind staff, attentive to all physical needs, weekly happy hour, clean spaces, and excellent room quality. Cons-assigned seats at a specific table for every meal and limited interactive social experiences. I think this is more concise and focused.

Great food and Great service
We were welcomed into dinner with our grandma. Quickly our server came with a menu and asked we wanted anything to drink. Shortly after we ordered, we had drinks, soups and salads. Everything was delicious from the salad to the dessert

I think that overall Peregrine Delmar Place is a good place. I like the facility, although from what I hear, the food is very bad though and needs improvement.

It is a good place, but just had a bit of turnover of staff. And as soon as Mom moved in there was a rate increase and we were charged that increase. I would recommend Peregrine Delmar Place - but with eyes open.

Would not recommend
They were doing a lot of construction but our loved ones room was always clean. Even though our loved one was there for a short time, we did see a lot of different activities so they seemed to be very good. They certainly can hire staff - it felt like the place was being ran by technicians rather than LPNs. It was very difficult or our loved one to receive medication and even the smallest of problems turned into the biggest issues. Our loved one spent more time in hospitals than at the community itself. We are not very happy.

My mother has been at Delmar Place for 2 1/2 years. It was hard for her to adjust at first, and it was challenging for me, one of her daughters, to feel trusting and comfortable. She has been hospitalized twice since she's been there, and it was after this most recent hospitalization that I truly realized the value of her living at Delmar Place.
Familiar staff were waiting for her at the door as we brought her back from the hospital. She was assured that they would help her make the adjustment back to being in her own apartment again, and they have! Today we held a family meeting that included my two sisters (by phone), my mother, the executive director, and the interim social worker. Their commitment to her comfort and care is absolutely clear. They treat her as an individual with her own wishes and habits being respected. They also had very good suggestions on what she could add to her diet to get her weight back up a little.
I highly recommend Delmar Place Assisted Living!

A Good Place For Mom
It's an extremely friendly community. The staff has been very receptive to phone calls and emails, that sort of thing. The facility itself is excellent, and always very clean. The lobby always has fresh flowers in it. All the residents seem to be extremely happy. When you walk in everybody waves and says hello. And they offer a lot of activities as well.

Atria Delmar Place is phenomenal. It's a wonderful place and has met all my expectations. I would highly recommend them. The people are spectacular. The employees are wonderful. Above and beyond staff members
We chose Atria Delmar Place because they had availability when we needed it quickly. It is also a very nice facility and the woman at the time who was giving us the tour was really great. The room sizes here small compared to some others we saw. They said they food was good, but they had to wait a very long time to get it delivered which was frustrating. They also said the portion sizes were small. The best part about the community was the staff members, they were very friendly and they went above and beyond for my parents. I would recommend.
