Our supervising nurse has 35+ years experience. We have an aide-to-resident-ratio of about 1:8 days, 1:20 nights.<br><br><b>Cozy:</b> Our home has about 42 residents. We provide full services, with easy all-inclusive pricing. Rooms come furnished and decorated. We feel like a real warm home, not like a cold hotel.<br><br><b>Loyal:</b> We personalize care and recreation. We fill our home with loving staff and volunteers. Since 2016, we only lost 3 residents to money. In VA & CT aid, residents get up to $4k+ monthly.<br><br><b>Unique:</b> The owner is a Marine Iraq veteran with a Harvard PhD. Both his grandmothers lived at Shady Oaks. He lives next door. Residents and families have come to us from 62+ CT towns.<br><br><b>COVID-19:</b> As of April 2023, only 6 residents caught COVID here. We do frequent testing, wear KN95s, and use 175 air purifiers. We have in-home vaccinated visits with flexible hours.<br><br><b>Survey:</b> Each year, we send anonymous surveys to the families of current and recent residents. Counting all 97 replies during the past three years, we average 5.0 stars overall. Many replies had notes of gratitude. Here is one: “Shady Oaks is a Bristol Treasure." Another one said, "I'm glad there is a place called Shady Oaks."<br><br>Remember Us: Since 2016, 30+ residents moved here from other assisted livings. Families say we have much better communication. Here, your loved one will feel safe, engaged, at-home, and proud.
