A Shady Rest

We chose this community because of the cost and the location. The food was very good, a lot of times if you missed a meal they would make you what they had on hand. The room sizes were big, they could have used a little more cubbard space. She liked puzzles, books, and cards and they accommodated those activities for her. I would recommend Shady Rest, it was a good value for our dollar and the staff was very informative and pleasant. For the money, it was an all around nice place. If I had to go someplace that took this kind of care, I would go here.

Affordable relaxed personal care

It is an affordable place to live in the city. Everyone there is friendly. The staff is wonderful. I think the food is fine. The layout is good. They do have stairs but they have a stair climber and do a good job putting people with mobility issues on the first floor. Nice porch area. Staff there 24/7. Not a secured property. A good value for your money.
