Very satisfied

I chose Sierra Regency because of the value for the money, the friendliness of the residents while I toured, and they had a lot of activities provided if I wanted to participate. Safeway is right across the street, so shopping is very close. I am very comfortable with my apartment, at first I thought it would be too small but it has turned out to great. I have been very satisfied and would recommend to others.

Really Great Staff

People seem to be happy here. The could use more activities, because they are so limited due to the pandemic. The sign up sheets for activities are quickly filled due to space limitations. The food could be improved, as my loved one doesn't care for it.

Toured during Happy Hour featuring a live band and an open bar. Our tour guide wasn't the friendliest and assumed my mother could not afford the cost. I believe we were shown the worst two apartments. One had the balcony literally over a work shed and dumpster, the other had dirty walls and carpet, older appliances. We were told to use our imagination of clean walls and new carpet. There was a inside pool, an outdoor putting green. Building layout was quite confusing with several halls in multiple direction. There were cameras in the halls. Common areas are small and shaped awkward for multiple seating. Staff weren't very friendly or appeared uninterested. Halls did have some beautiful paintings. Pool table in lobby with four foot tall wall dividers on all four sides. Community was gated. There was no safe path to take to street sidewalk. Parking for residents with cars. Several entry and exit access all around the perimeter of building which remains unlocked until 10pm. Community is next to a Post rehabilitation facility for therapy. Community located in a cul-de-sac. Shopping nearby. Coffee shop nearby. Transportation for doctors appointment. Community seemed 'put together to accomodate more residents. There were a mixture of residents, countable joyful residents, a few nonchalant or 'just here' residents, a few displeased and some I couldn't determine. Plenty of activities, there was even a jar full of jelly beans you could guess the amount. Not much furniture in common areas as it was small and shaped awkwardly. full kitchen. housekeeping. laundry rooms were quite a distance from apartments. Wasnt shown the dining room or kitchen area. Was quite suprised, I expected greater quality coming from Roseville at this established community. Maybe they were going through changes and staff were having a bad day. Overall I give it two stars. I wouldn't desire my mother to live here. Community Fee also was outrageous price. Indeed an overpriced community.

Lovely facilities and friendly staff. We were lucky to get a ground floor apartment, but had we not, there is only one elevator to serve all the apartments of the 2nd floor and some of the residents have to walk quite a way to get to it. In case of an emergency and the elevator breaks, there is no back-up way to get the folks down, especially those with a cart rather than a walker. it seems a bit more expensive than most of the other residences and wifi/cable is not included, whereas for others it is. Pets cost an extra 20.00/month with a deposit.

Sierra Regency is further out than I want to go. Also, the tour guide did not sell it to me. The two units she showed me were vacant but had not been cleaned up so they didn't smell fresh, the carpets were dirty. She said there will be some upgrades but at least one of them will not be repainted, they'll just patch the holes in the walls. I don't want to have to use my imagination on how an apt. will look in the future.

My mother is currently living in the Sierra Regency in Roseville. She chose this place because she could have a patio and an area to walk her dog. Also, this was the least expensive facility we looked at. This is a nice place for individuals that are totally independent. Bathrooms are NOT ADA appropriate. Bathtubs remain but have "cut outs" for easier access. This arrangement does not lend itself for a shower chair easily. And, would not be considered safe for anyone with balance issues (my opinion), Some of the carpets in the apartments have been replaced with plank imitation wood flooring. Although this may be easier to clean it can be slippery and dangerous. The "rent" includes 2 meals per day. The food is good and adequate. The staff are friendly and kind. Again, there is NO mechanism to check up on individuals because this is INDEPENDENT living. Assisted services are available from an outside company. I would NOT recommend SR for anyone that is not totally independent.

Apartment style living, convenient location. Residents looked happy. My mom is used to living in a very large house so has been looking for a large cottage with a garage, so was not interested in seeing much in this community. 2 bedroom unit we saw seemed small, kitchen was very small compared to others we have seen but I think it would be nice for someone who is used to living in a condo or apartment, or who wants to downsize more than my mom wants to. Price seemed a little high for the size and condition of the unit we saw.

Acceptance of Choices

As this facility is NOT on a main street, it is more like a private Resort for Seniors. People are free to eat with different people which helps to get everyone acquainted and the hours for eating are more flexible than many such facilities I found in my experience. While there are many activities available, there is acceptance of private choices as well.

THE BEST STAFF I HAVE EVER MET

Sierra regency is the best place we visited in CA and we couldn’t be happier with my dad’s choice. He is so healthy now and enjoying himself with the best programs organized for seniors. He loves walking in the beautiful gardens, attending exercise and art classes offered by Sierra Regency. Once in a week, they take the residents for outings too which never happens in other communities. Thank you so much Sierra Regency for providing such awesome and wonderful environment.

BEST PLACE

Sierra Regency is very special place for us not because it is beautiful and clean but because of such caring and loving staff members and the amazing community. Coming from Texas, we found ourselves lucky to know about Sierra Regency. My father-in-law was the first resident here from our family. Right away, we found him happy and healthy which was a big relief for us as we had not seen him like this in very long time. Visiting this place with children to meet him is always a fun as the facility has so many fun games over here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

SIMPLY THE BEST

I feel so happy and blessed to find Sierra Regency for my father. It is safe, clean, homey, happy and very welcoming place and my father is peaceful and relaxed for the first time in last few years. It has been only few weeks since my father started living here and he is already adjusting very well. The staff over here has met all the needs he has had and made sure that he is having the best time.

A pleasant tour!

When I toured the Sierra Regency, they showed me around the entire building and answered all of my questions. The thing I did not like was that the common areas were much nicer than the apartments. If you were just going to hang out in the common areas it would be great, but the apartments were not as nice.

A Great Place, Not Good Interaction

This was close and convenient place for me but I had an incident that steered us away. I took my mom and dad here a few times and I was told by a different manager that we needed to have a form sign by our doctor to visit. I really liked them until the hassle. It is pretty, clean, good size and in a good location. I didn't get a warm feeling from manager.

Sierra Regency is a beautiful place. Grounds are lovely with a great walking path with lots of benchs to rest, read, and enjoy the outdoors. A great path to walk your pet. I've only been here a week, but the activity schedule sounds fun & friendly. The indoor heated pool is a hugh plus with water exercises. Entertainment is good. So far the only complaint is the food. Very bland and not particularly good. The wine is a great perk with dinner if you wish. My little chihuahuas are happy with the enclosed patio to sniff and enjoy the outdoors. (you provide the fencing.)te I'm quite sure I will be happy here, just hope the food improves!

My mom just moved out of this facility. It's a real mixed bag. Some of the staff is quite nice and conscientious, while others are not. I was disappointed by some of their claimed rules regarding checking on residents. When my mom had left her phone off the hook, or was in real trouble, and we could not reach her, the staff often said it was not their responsibility to check on the resident and that they could not. The food often lacked as many healthy options as my mom wanted. The scheduled trips were nice and taking the residents for shopping was a plus. The facility is clean overall, but some of the cleaning staff were great and others discourteous to my mom.
