Love living in my own private cottage. Love the park-like setting with all the wildlife. Food is mediocre, but that's good for my figure. Manager is an excellent trained listener, but rarely follows through on my perceived problems. Other residents are quite friendly.

The grounds are beautiful. The apartments are old. The dining room is sunken. The staff seemed nice. 20 residents moved out because the elevator was out of commission for a couple of months. I’ve decided not to move there

The community is clean,well maintained and layout of building makes easy to navigate. The sales ESP [name removed]. HEAD OF SALES, SHE MADE FEEL INPORTANT, CONFORTABLEL, SHOWED THE WHOLE PROPERTY. Part of the TOUR was STUDIO and 1 bedroom apartments. I like some the locations. I expressed I did not want any APT with carpet because carpet gets dirty and cannot get STAINS REMOVED.

They tried to accommodate Judy but too many negative things were happening. The elevator was broken and had been for 2 months… we saw elderly carrying walkers and wheelchairs down the stairs to try to get to meals… activities and it was scary….. they told residents it would be at least two more months! [name removed] hated the stairs. The laundry facilities were unusable…. 2 washers on her level were broken and they couldn’t use them till 3 pm… and they weren’t working at all and couldn’t carry laundry down the stairs. Activity gal quit right when [name removed]moved in… no activities were organized. Begged for help to get her cable box to work for tv…. After waiting a week…. My husband went to Xfinity store and got her set up. When she had an emergency, they called the fire dept and they rushed her to Tacoma General Hospital. A lot of her problem was not eating… and lots of stress! When we brought her back to get some things as she was going to stay with her daughter, they kicked her out.

My dad loves it there. It is a great place and my dad loves living there. We picked this community because of the location close to loved ones and liked the setup of the facility, has park like grounds on the property great for walking and offered variety of activities to participate in.

Staff friendly and helpful. Grounds are beautiful with walking trail and duck pond, flowers and trees. The front doors are locked from 6:30 PM to 8 AM so felt my mom was safe. There was a good variety of activities and outings but my mom never participated. Its an independent living facility so I don't think quality of care applies.

I preferred Solstice because the residents and staff were the friendliest. I liked the park-like setting. The cottage I reserve red was completely surrounded by forest. The place is very pet friendly. And the food and servers are good.

The staff here at Solstice at Point Defiance is amazing and works hard to accommodate any special needs you may have. We were looking for a place that had a covered outside spot for smoking, and this was it.

We like the community so much, that the family is looking for ourselves in Plano, TX. The staff care and it is a good value for your money here. The staff have been good to work with, and any requests are quickly resolved. There are three meals a day served. They could use some additional staff in the dining room, as the meals can take a bit to get out to the residents.

Current resident. Building is falling apart, with exception to public view. Continue to violate tenant laws without providing proper notice to water shut off or other maintenance. Mealtime has become an outrageous experience, being told they’ve run out of food, menu items, or dishes to serve you with. Place is filthy, have MANY photos to provide, along with EXTERIOR MOLD AND DRYROT to many areas of the building. Staff seems inadequate to properly manage and address issues.

I toured this community with my loved one and upon first impression, she did not want to go in. The yard was unkept with fallen branches and dead plants/flowers. The building was under renovation, which is a good thing, but it did add to the rugged outwardly appearance. We liked the community inside, but chose to go another route.

The setting of the facility and where it's located is very appealing. It's quiet and surrounded by nature. The staff is very friendly. There are plenty of activities. My loved one tells me the food is good. And the availability to have outside services is great as well.

I would recommend this community for your loved one. There are a few things that they could improve on like the friendliness from some of the staff. You would just expect more from the staff in this type of setting when it comes to friendliness. They advertise cleaning every week and right now it is every two weeks due to a staffing shortage and we are not sure how long this will be happening. The landscaping could also be improved in certain areas of the community. Just make sure you research to make sure it is a good fit.

We chose Solstice Senior Living mostly because of the space. The unit they had available was an end unit and it was full of windows and natural light so it was perfect. The value for the money compared to other places we looked at was lower. She does say that the food is a little bland. I would recommend to others looking.

I would recommend examining your needs and make sure that you are getting what you need from the community. For me and my loved one the friendliness is perfect. If you want to be involved with things you can and if you don't you can no one pushes you . People are happy to talk and be among each other.

I would tell others that this is a warm and welcoming environment. There are deer on the lawn every morning. My loved one enjoys it here. The community have been COVID free,. The cleaning staff is friendly and they keep the community clean as well. The only trouble I see s the campus is very hilly. This could be a concern for those with mobility issues.
