Gardner Park was an excellent facility. Staff and building I highly recommend. I found everyone to be so caring. From nurses , to servers, to administrators. Couldn't have been more helpful. Seems to generally show care and compassion.

Sunrise at Gardner Park, which provides both Assisted Living as well as Reminiscence (memory) Care, has been serving the needs of seniors and their families since 1994. Famous for it's 'Bed and Breakfast' ambiance, Gardner Park is housed within a gracious Victorian Mansion. Besides the 55 private apartments, there is a main dining room, a private dining room for use by residents and their family members, a main parlor, casual cafe, hair salon, library, and several other common gathering and activity areas. Residents benefit from the short, easily-traversed hallways, centralized community areas, team member longevity, Designated Care Manager system of care, nutritious cuisine prepared by an award-winning chef, ongoing support groups, stimulating activity offerings, and comforting old-world feel that truly makes it seem just like home. Levels of care can be increased to meet a resident's changing needs, ensuring they will be safe and comfortable at all times. Included are three meals a day, snacks throughout the day and evening, housekeeping, personal laundry services, individual climate controls, 24 hour staffing, emergency call systems, and more. Sunrise at Garden Park is a good place to live, Most of the staff is very personable and caring. Great friendly feel as you walk in the door. All in all a good safe home for memory care and assisted living.

Excellent facility and staff. The front desk people when you come in back door are always polite and helpful. Nurses are very organized with meds and needs of patients, CNP always available, as needed.

Nurses and care managers are kind and patient with mom. Mom isn't easy! She has a lovely big room with lots of windows and is quite content.

During a very difficult time in my family's life the staff at Sunrise Gardner Park was able to help comfort, educate and put my mind at ease regarding my mom's dementia condition and the added care they would/do give her that I could no longer provide at home.

I can't recommend enough! They do a wonderful job going above and beyond. Between the services they provide and way they genuinely care for the residents, it really is a wonderful place to call home for my loved one. I think you will find other reviews mention it too, but the staff is exceptional. Huge shout out to [name removed] and [name removed] who really make you feel like you are part of the family. You are absolutely in good hands with them.

It is a very friendly place. It is a small homey place where a resident will not be lost or forgotten for service. I was surprised as to how large the nursing staff is there.

When I went visit my friend, I once walked in on a caregiver on the phone in my friend's room on the phone. I walked into the Television room and found someone sleeping in a chair. Too often, there is no one to be found. Meal times seem very crazy - not organized at all. Not all of the people can eat in the kitchen. I told my friend's family what I saw. it is just so sad that people who can't talk or understand what's going on around them are just not cared. very sad!

Assisted Living eat in a dining room. Reminiscence residents eat in the kitchen with dishes clanging, continue noise, and being unable to eat in a calm environment. What is provided for the first two floors is NOT what is provided to the 3rd floor. If you are thinking about having your family member live there, visit during dinner and lunch. It is awful how much is expected from the 3rd floor staff. Some people don't even in the kitchen because there is no room. I will not use my name because I do not want to upset the staff that care for my sibling.

Sunrise of Gardner Park has been a great place for my mom. She was only there temporarily but she had no negatives to say at all. Th staff members working there are great and we would very much so recommend this community to other families based on the experience we had.

We picked this community, because it was homey, like a real home, sunlit, room was spacious, the place was not overwhelming, the staff enjoyed working there. It was a mile up the road and easy to get to. An easy work for my loved one to get to the dining room and parlor. Nurses are around till 8 PM too. Staff response to calls ( could use some more help at bedtimes in the a.m. and p.m.

I just didn't get a great feeling. The facility didn't feel great. And we had experienced a different Sunrise that wasn't attentive with activities and engaging my loved one mentality. Our tour at Gardner Park left me wondering if that would be the same experience.

The community itself seems to be very nice and overall the value is completely worth it. We aren't able to judge the meals because our loved one has to have pureed meals so its hard to know whether its good or not.

I appreciate that it is a smaller size /number of residents. The downside is the staff is also small, so if there are any staff you don't connect with it can be a challenge. I like their approach where residents are assigned specific that my personal care attendants (most of the time). I wish they had more of an online portal for ongoing communications. Disclaimer: The food rating is based on my loved ones feedback.

I would recommend Sunrise of Gardner Park, it's a good place. the staff are very attentive, especially since mom has dementia, so it's not always easy. I especially like the way they take care of their residents. they seem to be very compassionate.

We chose Sunrise at Gardner Park because the memory care unit was small, they only have 20 or so residents so we thought she would get better care. The staff have been great about communication especially since we cannot go in. Overall, we feel very comfortable that she is here and we are very happy with our experience.

Our first impression of Sunrise was that is was kept very clean, and we really liked how nice everyone was. It is a smaller community, but that made it more personable. The food was really good we had no complaints. The rooms were beautiful, they were always fresh and very clean.
