The Bellaire is nestled in a peaceful residential neighborhood just west of the Detroit River. Beautifully renovated in 2018, The Bellaire offers spacious private apartments for independent and assisted living. The community’s friendly and caring staff are available 24 hours a day to offer support, while still honoring the independence that each community member cherishes.
The Bellaire offers a welcoming family environment. Residents of the Bellaire can enjoy the home’s lush and warmly decorated library with large-screen tv for movie viewings, or enjoy a beverage on the beautiful patio or underneath the gazebo. The home is conveniently close to local shopping and rehabilitation centers. The community staff offer maintenance services, as well as laundry and linen services. Each private one-bedroom, studio, or shared apartment contains a kitchenette for the residents’ convenience.
Among the community’s wonderful amenities are three meals served fresh daily, with adaptations for food sensitivities. The staff offer activities, crafts, and exercise programs seven days per week. Residents can take weekly shopping trips in the Riverview community. Staff are on-site around the clock to offer medication management and support with activities of daily living as needed.

Staff was warm, outgoing, professional at all times and they all have been great all the workers all the kitchen help. Everyone has assist us in anything that we've needed, and they have also assisted [name removed] with his needs and getting him more acclimated to his surroundings and the facility.

care services is a 5 but he only had care for 1 month. they were awesome! They even sent me pictures to let me know he attended a music event. my dad said the food was very good. they have activities, but I think they need more guy things for the men. it is one of the best priced places around, much less expensive than many I looked at downriver. The owners take pride in having a nice facility, the grounds are all maintained and lots of flowers planted. There is a nice gazebo outside with chairs for the people to get out and enjoy some fresh air. I can't say enough good things about the Bellaire. Their admin staff is so helpful, and the caregivers are very patient and understanding. My dad was not an easy person to deal with when he first got there.

The facility is clean, modern and fresh. The signing process was effortless explained in detail with fair pricing. The dining area is fantastic. The residents are served as they were in a restaurant! It preserves their dignity. I have sampled several dishes and they were great!! I feel safe with my mother being in the memory care floor. I receive prompt responses from managers in all areas if I have a question or concern. They offer in house physicians weekly which alleviates the strain of transportation. Both [name removed] and [name removed], administration directors, are incredibly personable, genuine and attentive.

I would give them all 5s, except for Cleanliness. There is an extreme odor in the hallways - maybe the carpets need to be replaced? Also the temperature is difficult to control - it is almost always too hot in the apartment. The staff is wonderful and I think the apartment size is decent - I only looked at one other place because they were much too expensive - this one is a great price and we were lucky to get in!

My mother love living her. The staff are so friendly and help whenever needed. They have so many fun activities for the residents and the resident's families. The building is beautiful and clean. Overall we are very happy with the Bellaire Senior Living.

My time at The Bellaire has been wonderful. I've been here 11 years, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. We have activities every day, entertainers that come in and sing, the staff is great, they are the most amazing ever. The food is wonderful. I love it here.

I became a resident in 2016. Since then, a number of changes have taken place for the better. The décor is easy on the eye. The food is tastier. The people are nice. And the rent is less than most places. What more can you ask for?

My mom is 93 years old with Dementia She has been at Bellaire for 6 years. Bellaire has been such a perfect place for my mom as she is very independent (she has the feeling of Independency and being cared for.) I can not say enough about all staff here at Bellaire office staff, care state, cleaning staff, activities staff all treat my mom and our family like their family. I have "peace of mind" knowing my mom is safe and cared for. (10 stars for sure)

I took a tour with [name removed], and she was very kind with the way that she approached the situation for my family. It was a hard decision to make, and we were really concerned at first about my mom and if it would be a good place moving her out of her home she’s been at for 40 years. [name removed] was so kind throughout the entire process and help us move in very smoothly. Mom is doing amazing and we always see her out doing activities. We are very happy with our move because everyone in the office has been kind and welcoming to not only her but us each time when we come in, they greet us by name And ask if we need anything

Always clean and office staff warm and friendly. They provide personalized updates on my mom's well-being any time I visit during office hours. All who work there clearly care more than just a job. Mom was reticent at first, but has since told me how happy she is there and how she has made new friends. She told me she even participated in some of the MANY fun activities provided on the calendar after being encouraged by the staff to enjoy them. I am so grateful to have found The Bellaire through A Place for Mom.

It's very clean and staff is kind. They pay very close attention to her. She recently was just not herself according to staff. House physician ordered ER visit and it turned out she had RSV. They never hesitate to contact me. I am very appreciative of staff. I would like to see more updates come from physicians as well as staff. They are more than willing to provide, but I must specifically ask.

We have been very pleased with our experience. My loved one seems to be happy here. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. This is a smaller community and the people are very friendly. The staff seem to be helpful and willing to work with the family to find a solution when neccessary. My loved one seems to think the meals are good. The dinner meal is served at noon which is the largest meal of the day. The supper meal is a lighter meal. There is a monthly menu for the residents to review and the resident is able to substitute if they don't like what is being served that day. Anytime my loved one has asked for a different meal or side, the community has been willing to accommodate my loved one's request. There are levels of care you are able to pay for. They are able to manage medications, bathing assistance, housekeeping once a week as some of the care the community is able to provide. They also offer the option for laundry service as an additional fee for care. There is more involved care if your loved one needs it for additional fees. The community will do an assessment of your loved one prior to moving in.

The tour itself was good at The Bellaire. It seemed like a pretty average place. Price was a big issue for us, and it just wasn't the perfect fit for my loved ones.
