The Daughters of Charity of St.Vincent de Paul, Franciscan Sisters of Mary, Society of the Sacred Heart, School Sisters of Notre Dame, and the Sisters of Loretto founded the Sarah Community in 1997. Together, the sisters of these five congregations established a community where respect, compassion, and a spirit of welcoming hospitality are key elements in meeting the retirement needs and providing long-term care to their memebers and the general public. Our community has over 25 years of experience in senior care following four honored awards including Five-Star quality rating by medicare, U.S. News & World Report recognizes Anna House as a "Best Nursing Home." Awarded for Excellence of Service from the Council of Bridgeton, Missouri, and Aging Review magazine bestowed Anna House with its Enviornments Award. The Sarah Community offers independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing, each focused on wellness of body, mind, and spirit. Our community is grouped into households, which creates a connected, inclusive enviornment for all while respecting the individual. Near our community you will find many grocery stores, gas stations, clothing stores, restaurants, banks, and much more. The Sarah Community offers Catholic mass seven days a week, everyday at 11 a.m. Our residents socialize with planned activities and spontaneous get-togethers. Residents can enjoy a favorite film in our media room, visit with family and friends around the fireplace in our community room, and enjoy other on-campus amentities, such as walking paths, wellness center, gift-shop, billard room, and library.
