<p>The Village Senior Residence is an <em>assisted living facility</em> that provides <em>category A, B,</em>and <em>C</em> levels of care. In the state of Montana, these terms are defined as follows:
</p><dl><dt>Assisted Living Facility</dt><dd>Facilities that are a congregate residential setting that provides personal care, 24-hour supervision and assistance, and activities and health-related services. There are three categories of assisted living in Montana that allow facilities to provide different types of care:</dd></dl><p></p>
<p></p><ul><li><strong>Category A:</strong> The facility is licensed to provide personal care, supervision, medical administration, and other non-skilled nursing care.</li>
<li><strong>Category B:</strong> The facility is licensed to provide skilled nursing care to residents who require such services. These residents are known as Category B residents.</li>
<li><strong>Category C:</strong> The facility is licensed to provide care and supervision to residents with severe cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia. These residents are known as Category C residents.</li></ul><p></p>
