<h3>Community Amenities and Services</h3>
<p>Residents can always enjoy the comfort of amenities and services offered on campus. One of the hallmarks of our community is our restaurant-style dining services. Residents and their families can always enjoy a bite with three, chef prepared meals made daily. Our assisted living services include aides on duty 24 hours a day, mealtime reminders, mobility escorts, assistance with hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and other special needs.</p>
<p>Our memory care area is a certified Alzheimer’s unit by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability (DADS). It is a supervised, secured, and licensed unit where a licensed vocational nurse is available 40 hours per week. All meals, drinks, and snacks are also provided.</p>
<h3>Living Arrangements</h3>
<p>Prospective residents may enjoy our studio units. All of our units are spacious and include a kitchenette, private bathroom, climate control, emergency pull cords, and medication supervision. Apartments are available for rent on a month-to-month basis with no leases or buy-in fees.</p>
<h3>Care Types Offered</h3>
<p>Villa South Assisted Living and Memory Care is a <em>Type B assisted living facility</em>. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:</p>
<h3>Assisted Living Facility</h3>
<p>A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:</p>
<p><strong>Type A:</strong> A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.<br>
<strong>Type B:</strong> A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.<br>
<strong>Type C (Adult Foster Care):</strong> 4-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.</p>
