Welcome Home Assisted Living review

This has been a good place for [name removed]. Staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is well taken care of. Room and common areas are kept clean. The Staff are kind and are helpful getting [name removed] ready for church meetings that are held at the facility. Sometimes communication in English is a problem. The staff is very kind and loving to [name removed] and our family. [name removed] seems to be happy and comfortable and content to be there. [name removed] is unable to use utensils to feed herself. She does use her hands at times but the staff does need to help her at times. [name removed]has gluten issues and they try to accommodate those issues. They have an individual responsible for activities and she does an excellent job encouraging all the residents to participate. Welcome Home is reasonably priced and is in the middle of the price range in this area. It is a difficult life decision when dementia disrupts retirement plans in your life. During Covid it was discovered that my wife was just not a little forgetful but was suffering from dementia. We tried several different daytime solutions and found that a caregiver part time in the home along with family in the home worked the best for her. This was good for about 6 to 8 months, then my wife started wandering outside if someone was not in the room with her all the time. As a family we decided that our home was no longer a safe place for her. We looked at a couple of care facilities in our area and after a couple of visits we decided on Welcome Home, a facility only 5 minutes away. They had a secure facility with private rooms that was affordable, clean, well taken care of and the staff was friendly. [name removed] the owner was easy to talk to and we were able to move my wife in a couple of days later. She has been there a little over a year now and the dementia has limited her abilities, she still has a smile on her face and is calm when we visit. I believe we made a good decision for her.

Had a little bit of a rough start, but changed some medications and my wife is as happy and content as best as a person can be not being in their own home. Quite pleased with Welcome Home. This place looked really nice. The tour guide was very informative and showed me all around, and answered all of my questions. She greeted each guest by name, the guests looked happy and clean.

Comfortable care!!

I have no complaints about how things are going for my father since he has recently made the move into this community. The staff are all very friendly and I comfortable with the care that he is receiving. I like that he is safe and I have a peace of mind in his new living environment. Although he is slowly getting adjusted he is enjoying the meals and some of the activities they have available.

Absolutely Loved It

My mother-in-law was here and we absolutely loved it. It's a smaller facility but they just didn't have the amount of people that we needed for her particular care. We didn't want to move her but we had to.
