Westminster Place Independent Living

This gorgeous Evanston community has the best of both worlds — a spacious and lively campus filled with opportunities for wellness and enrichment and easy access to the Chicago suburbs and downtown. Westminster Place’s landscaped courtyards feature lush plant life surrounding stone walking paths and large flowing fountains. Inside the home are elegant high-ceilinged gathering spaces with vast skylights and vibrant decor.

As a continuing care home, Westminster Place can offer a continuum of care including independent and assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and respite care. The staff recognize that independent and assisted living aren’t mutually exclusive, so they drive to maintain each community member’s autonomy while still providing whatever level of care they need, even as it shifts over time.

The community staff strive to foster in their residents seven levels of wellness: social, physical, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, emotional, and community. The community’s open kitchen/dining area creates a calming environment that encourages choice and interaction. Westminster Place’s many amenities include an indoor pool, fitness and therapeutic center, community programs and outings, weekly housekeeping, regularly scheduled transportation, library and reading room, chapel with interdenominational services, year-round greenhouse, and a 40-acre campus with walking paths, formal gardens, and fountains.
