Dreams Haven Adult Family Home

My father has resided at Dreams Haven in Tacoma/Parkland for about 2 1/2 years. Before that, he was very depressed. He refused to socialize and he turned away many of his meals. He was frequently in and out of the hospital because when he returned to his retirement apartment after a recovery, he would rapidly start to decline. We placed him at Dream Haven AFH and the declining stopped. Dad started eating again. It brought me joy to see his face light up when Serah, his caretaker, awakened and greeted him. I am so grateful to [name removed], her husband, [name removed], and all the kind, caring people who have created a home for dad. Serah is very capable and conscientious in her care and oversight of the AFH home. She also does a wonderful job too of connecting with family members of Dream Haven residents. She keeps me informed about Dad's emotional and physical health and about any areas of concern. Just like Dad, I feel welcome and at home when I visit Dreams Haven. It's a very special place!
