My dad has been at Wealshire of Bloomington for almost three years. My brother and I were looking for a new place for dad as the Alzheimer's disease continued to make it hard for him to make safe decisions. He was very active and the place he was in did not fit as most residents were much further progressed in the disease. Wealshire truly understands Dementia and serves residents right where they are at. Dad will be able to stay at the Wealshire as the Alzheimer's disease continues to progress. My favorites about Wealshire are the nursing leadership and staff, the life enrichment director and staff, the welcoming and helpful staff at the front desk and the yummy treats! The communication, understanding and compassion the staff has for my dad is so comforting. When I visit staff are friendly, helpful and truly interested in my dad and his family. The building is secure and that is a huge relief from the last place he was at. The staff were so helpful in moving and welcoming dad into his new place. They were also kind and helpful as I visited and called to check in on him the first several months. There is a lot I like about the Wealshire and would recommend it for your loved one. Today as I write this review we are in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic. As I am deeply concerned for my dad's health and safety I am reassured Wealshire is doing everything possible can to keep him safe. Wealshire began early on to restrict visitors and I think this has made a difference. Wealshire has safety protocols they follow when staff come to work. I really appreciate the honest, clear and continued communication from Weashire and nursing leadership as we move through this scary time. As things are changing so quickly the staff has been in constant communication with families. I thank the staff as they are adjusting to the changes and making sure my dad is safe and cared for especially when I can't be there myself.

They take good care of him!!

Since moving my loved one to Wealshire, my loved one is doing very well. The staff is doing a great job taking care of him and we have not had any problems. They have a good staff to resident ratio. They also have a large variety of activities, they keep the residents very busy. It has been a good experience,

BEST PLACE TO HAVE YOUR FAMILY MEMEBERS!

The CNA's on willow, [name removed]- who works mornings and Step who usually works evenings, they usually take care of my mom and really does a amazing job, she always has patience with my mom (who can be difficult) and always has a smile on their faces! They always can answer the majority of my questions and if they can't answer it she refers me to the nurse on duty. The only reason they didn't get a five stars is because the CNA's who are amazing isn't always on the floor and I preferred if [name removed] and [name removed] worked consistently on willow! My mom does better when she has a familiar face helping her

A great place to look into

This community is great. The cost is a little higher than what we were looking for. The community is very clean. I would rate the care very high. The staff are helpful, friendly and caring. The food is pretty good and I would recommend taking a look at this community.

I WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM.

This place is terrible. Don't be fooled by the Disneyland decor. They are terribly under-staffed. My mother was a resident there, and it's really just a glorified [Removed]. In March 2015, my mother told an aide she wasn't feeling well. The aide told her to go drink some water. The next day she suffered a massive heart attack. Upon returning, she started to fail rapidly. We were told she would need to be moved to the 2nd floor where she would receive more care, to the tune of 10-12K/month. That lasted about 3 days(in which time there never seemed to be anyone looking after the residents), when she then tripped, fell, broke her hip, and cracked her head open. She never spoke again, and died a week later. When we asked what happened, no one seemed to really know, most likely because no one was looking after the residents. The aides, and the owner were always talking about the lack of staffing. Oh, and the owner smokes right in his office, which is a clear violation of state law. In conclusion, I wouldn't send anyone I cared about to the Wealshire, not under any circumstances.
