This service offers in-home care in Canton, Rome, Cartersville, and the surrounding areas in Georgia.</p> <p>You’ll receive an in-home assessment to make sure the staff understands your needs and to determine what offered services will benefit you most. Any new caregiver coming into your home will be introduced first, and all caregivers undergo background checks. Veterans may be eligible for benefits. The staff can speak with you about other state-funded options that may be available to you.</p> <h3>Services</h3> <p>The care your loved one needs can vary widely. The Wellness Watch service is a perfect place to start if you’re concerned about your loved one but they don’t yet need regular help. Staff will check in on your loved one to see if they’re in good health, both physically and emotionally. They’ll also call your loved one frequently to make sure everything is going well between visits. You can receive reports and upgrade your loved one’s care as soon as they need it.</p> <p>Companion care is a great option if your loved one doesn’t get to interact with others often. Caregivers are happy to engage your loved one in conversations and participate with them in a favorite hobby, such as gardening, scrapbooking, or playing games. They can also provide transportation to an activity or social event, help out around the house with meal preparation and light housekeeping, and offer reminders about medications, dates, and routines. Caregivers can also conduct a home-safety evaluation to prevent falls or other accidents.</p> <p>Personal care services provide your loved one with a more hands-on type of support. Caregivers can help with bathing, personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, mobility, and medication reminders. They’ll also help prepare nutritious meals for your loved one and monitor their diet if you’d like.</p> <p>Staying Home Safe is a transitional care service. This helps your loved one successfully return home from the hospital or rehabilitation facility and avoid re-admission. Caregivers can provide transportation to follow-up appointments, pick up prescriptions from the pharmacy, and give medication reminders.</p> <p>If your loved one is staying in a hospital or another facility, Surgery Assistance and Sitter Services can provide them with support. A caregiver can stay with your loved one overnight, provide companionship, and help with personal hygiene and comfort. If your loved one needs medical attention, caregivers will help them get it quickly and document doctor visits for you. Specialized care is available for many conditions — Parkinson’s, diabetes, COPD and other lung conditions, arthritis, heart disease, osteoporosis, cancer, stroke, and multiple sclerosis (MS). Caregivers will be part of your support circle, whether you’ve been recently diagnosed or your condition is progressing. Caregivers use the Senior Gems program for those with dementia or Alzheimer’s to determine what your loved one is capable of and what makes them unique.</p> <p>If your loved one has decided to move into an assisted living facility or other senior care home, Senior Helpers offers Concierge Care. Caregivers can ease the anxieties of moving into a new community, provide companionship, and offer wait-list support if your loved one needs to live in their current home until space opens up in their chosen community.</p> <p>Respite care can provide a break for full-time caregivers. Your loved one will receive personal care assistance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship while you’re away. Caregivers are available for end-of-life care services if your loved one has a short life expectancy or terminal illness.
