I understand that the cost is the agency standard, and that I am paying more per hour as I generally don't have 25 hours/ week. I really have benefited from having a caregiver in the home when I am away. The caregiver is very pleasant, willing to do whatever is needed, and my spouse really likes her. The supervisor has been very responsive to my schedule needs and adjustments that have come up. I am pleased with the service .

The agency sent us someone that stole from my mother and they did nothing to compensate us. The owners talk a good talk, but they don't always respond and when there was a change in management they did not alert us promptly.

When we first started out with Servaus, we got really good care from management and providers. In rather short order, the agency was sold to a new owner, and the change began. Initially the new owner was responsive personally to phone calls, but she quickly stopped answering and her voice mail promised a return call that rarely happened. Calls were then fielded by a supervisor (that changed a couple of times); then that became iffy. Billing was a real challenge; I had a really hard time getting timely and accurate invoices, but they billed every week! Ultimately it got corrected. Then the constant change of providers who were not well trained, and seemed to be just filling some time to make money. Mostly they watched TV with occasional checks on [name removed]. Husband has mild/moderate Alzheimer’s, and was often outside under the pavilion reading. The checks were perfunctory. We were paying [fee removed]/hour, and I felt that we really were not getting optimal care. We had one whole month of “no shows” for the Friday shift. I called my contact at Senior Care One, and we chatted for a while. She was aware that the staff and clients were very unhappy with Servaus and were leaving in great numbers. She referred me to [community removed] , a new agency, and I agreed to meet with them. It turns out that the Owner/Supervisor was someone that I had started with at Servaus, and who had moved on to start [community removed] when the new owner at Servaus proved to be not so experienced, and the agency was floundering. We left at the end of [date removed]

The administrators are compassionate. The care giver assigned was a drama queen, but seemed to have a good heart and cared about my mom. But we found out that she stole my mom's car registration sticker. We saw it on her car. We also suspect that she took 1000 dollars from her.
