Brookdale Melbourne
Dining was horrible. Visually and taste. You order something different and they would forget.

Overall a really nice place and would recommend
I know they have activities and different things like that but unfortunately, my mother doesn't participate so I can't really comment on how the activities are. She rarely even leaves her room. I think it is a great community. If I had to comment on anything being improved, it would be the cleanliness of the room and the facility. But I do think it's great for the price and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for this type of environment

My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Melbourne and the experience at this facility was great for her. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff, care services and meals were also great. Brookdale did a fantastic job. I would recommend Brookdale Melbourne for anyone who needs Memory Care, even myself!

We liked Brookdale and the staff immediately. We knew right away we would feel comfortable letting my father live there. He now has passed away but I feel I will visit and remain friends with the kind staff iet there.

Mom entered Brookdale Assisted Living almost 2 years ago and the staff was attentive and caring, Mom's condition deteriorated and she entered the Memory Care portion of the community. She was given the utmost attention and she was treated with care and respect and she was always looking her best when we visited. Their team is outstanding and kind and the communication with family was top on. Thank you Brookdale.

I would recommend Brookdale Melbourne to others. The staff was all very friendly, very nice and responsive. The food is good, but the impressive part is that if you don't eat what is being served they will make you something else. My situation doesn't require a lot of communication from the staff, my family member is pretty independent but I would imagine they are great about keeping families informed. Housekeeping and laundry services are great. The facility is wonderful and the staff is fabulous.

Our family had an in person tour with Brookdale Melbourne and it really did seem nice but the community was just to small and there were no apartments, just one room.

Our family had an in person tour with Brookdale Melbourne and we did not like it at all. It looked dirty. It was dark inside. The staff on duty seemed to spend a lot of time talking among themselves rather than looking after residents. The person that gave me the tour was new and didn't have answers to a lot of our questions.

Brookdale I liked at first, but am glad I returned for a second visit. Completely different. Residents were just sitting around, in the hallway, few staff members were visible, and there was an unpleasant odor throughout the facility.

I like the memory care unit. It's small, with only about 17 residents, and I love that. Because it's a smaller community, there is more individualized attention for each resident. My family member likes it there, and if I had to go into a place myself, I would go there.

This was a nice community. It felt more independent than what our loved one needed.

The facility has a pretty intercounty yard. The staff are very nice and accommodating. However the staff doesn't have much time for more one-on-one time with residents. The food could needs some improvement.

We have been very happy with our experience at Brookdale Melbourne so far. [name removed] was very personally involved in the whole process which is another reason we were drawn to this facility. My dad seems a lot happier here than his previous facility. He is actually walking around whereas at the last place he just stayed in his room. He is getting great care. I know they have a lot of activities provided for the residents, but he has not partaken in any yet due to his PT and OT. The value is great - it is equal to what were paying at our other facility and they have more activities and he is able to go outside. I am so comfortable with the place that I bring my girl scouts here and they plant plants around the facility. It is a very friendly and family oriented atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

I toured Brookdale Melbourne and it was a much older facility. It wasn't "not" clean, it just wasn't inviting. It didn't feel very homey, like you were in someone's home. I would have preferred for it to be more professional. Again, it was much older and it looked like it may not have been in great maintenance shape. It didn't impress me, but the staff were extremely friendly. I really did like the woman I met with. There was a resident who was following us around, and that made me feel a little uncomfortable. It was also much smaller than the community we chose.

We chose Brookdale Melbourne because it came highly recommended to us by a few different people and also we heard about them by word of mouth from families or people who have worked here as caregivers. We felt very comfortable when we got here. If there is any complaint at all, it is that the food tends to be little lacking and they need some work in dietary, but my mother is finnicky as well so I take that into consideration. Her apartment did flood and she was having to pay for things she was not able to use. But overall, the friendliness of the people here is outstanding. It seems that most of the staff and residents are happy and we have been very pleased with the experience. When people ask, we always recommend them.

I was very happy with our experience at Brookdale Melbourne. It had more of a cozy and homey feel to it. it is all on one story and easy to get around. The room sizes were beautiful and we were happy with that. We did have to ask questions a couple of times during her stay and any of the staff would stop what they were doing and help us out, they were very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend the facility to others.

We I love it here! It was stressful finding a place, but they were there for us and answered every phone call and every question. Nothing was too much. The people there are just so sweet and loving. Anything I ask they do, and they are so helpful with my loved one. She loves music and has enthusiastically enjoyed the karaoke sessions. After visiting other places, I feel Brookdale Melbourne is worth the money. I would suggest anyone to think about them for their parent. The staff is always right there to reinforce whatever is going on. They're always there with a hug and a smile and a positive attitude. Anytime I walk in, they're there to answer any questions I have and to help in any way they can.

Everything is a la carte, and everything would have been extra expense for us.

Our virtual tour at Brookdale Melbourne was great. After touring at another place, I felt like the folks at that other place were a little more responsive. And it turned out Brookdale Melbourne didn't end up having the availability we needed. So I would recommend to other families looking for a place that you check availability first before touring. Not having done any of this before and looking back, that's something I wish I had done differently.
