Brookdale does a great deal of good things for the residents. The employee are all very friendly, always able to help when needed. They make the residents feel good by calling their names.

For the meals and dining service and activities we cannot evaluate those. Our family really likes the "Home" like appearance, personal - deeply personal care from nurse (director) [name removed] , respectful compassion from [name removed] , openness & daylight bright of facility.

It was an awful experience. They did not enough staff, the staff that were there were aggressive and un-managed, the food: worse I had ever seen, they lied to us in the sales process, it is a horrible place unless you do not like your parent or loved one.

We took a tour of Brookdale Pinehurst while searching for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was great! The staff and value for cost were great. The cleanliness and friendliness were also great!

It was a nice place, and the residents were interacting very well but the price wasn't within my budget.

Brookdale Pinehurst is a lovely assisted living facility, and the entire staff has been an absolute pleasure to interact with. As the daughter of two of the residents, I really only know what I hear from my parents, and for the most part, it has been very good. The food continues to be their chief complaint: choices, selections, quantity, temperature, spices, sauces, etc. There needs to be more variety at breakfast and dinner; perhaps spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, hot dogs, etc. would be nice as additional options instead of grilled cheese and chef salad every night. So, other than that, I give Brookdale high marks all the way around!

Our only complaint, as you know, is the food. We continue to be disappointed with the options, the selections, and the serving sizes. We would like to have different options for dinner other than the same chef salad and grilled cheese every night. We would like to have pizza, mashed or baked potatoes, spaghetti, hot dogs, roast beef, meatloaf, etc. For breakfast, I can no longer eat scrambled eggs and bacon every morning; it's just not acceptable. I would like pancakes, French toast, waffles, cereal, pastries, etc. I have voiced my concerns and desires several times, but nothing has really changed.

The community is very clean and the staff members are super nice, they really get to know the families and all now know our names. The meals sometimes are little to be desired but we do think the dining service is just fine. We are not sure what different activities they have, but they do a great job coming to get our loved one and accompany him down to the activities. He tends to be forgetful so we really appreciate that. Based on our experience so far we would recommend the community to other families.

I chose Brookdale for mom who has some dementia. 3/20-6/21. ~Went thru 2 Adm. Directors & 2 temps in 1 yr. ~Had to pay $[amount removed] for a 24-hr guard to keep Mom in her room for 14 day move in quarantine, I wasn't informed was coming. Statement is never correct. Had to produce cancelled checks, accused of not paying 1 month by corporate, the facility is telling me pay the monthly amount. I paid on time every month! Corporate did find THEIR mistake! ~We said no to covid vaccine. Did sign for the flu vaccine. Gave Mom the covid ANYWAY! ~Mom wears depends. Her garbage smelled of urine. I asked employees to empty more. It wasn't done. Mom & her room smelled of urine. ~ 5 times i couldn't find employees to let me IN/ OUT the locked front door on weekends. No one around. Accidents can happen! ~ $[amount removed] mth for Mom's personal care! ~Moved Mom to a place that has daily garbage and laundry. The personal care $[amount removed] mth Rent is $[amount removed] less. Better care, people around 24hrs. I DID TELL YOU!

Hopefully things are getting better over here but we did not have a good experience in the memory care unit. Based on our experience I could not recommend them.

This is the place! Brookdale was warm and inviting. [name removed] was awesome! The entire facility was clean, well planned out, and the decor was beautiful. There are many screened-in porches for residents, an outdoor area for walking, and a couple of activity rooms. One was a mini theatre with a popcorn machine. We're telling Mom this is it! We're sure she'll love it.

I wouldn't recommend this community to anyone. My loved one had was to be moved from the regular memory care to another community. I ended up hiring a round the clock caregiver. During that time my loved one may have had three aggression during the month or so they were there. There was a woman who kept walking in to my loved one's room and she even poked me when I visited my loved one. I and a few friends went to move my loved one out of the community. The bathroom and the cabinet under the sink were horrible. It was a disgrace and I feel that they staff just through things under the cabinet so they didn't have to deal with it. The room wasn't vacuumed since I don't know when. For the price I feel it should have been better taking care of. The PA is useless. Most of the staff is nice. I feel the community is understaffed as a whole. It is hard to get a hold of anyone after hours or on the weekends.

Mom is doing real well at Brookdale. I was worried that she might decline since she came from an Independendent Living Facility and moved across the country. She has done very well and flourished. The staff has been wonderful and keeps her involved. She has made friends and we are very happy with our choice of Brookdale!

I like the place so far, but my mom is NOT happy. She complains all the time. The lady next to her is 101, blasts. Tv. Leaves bathroom smelling. Etc. At least this is what mom is telling me. She is supposed to get a 1 bedroom studio and not share kitchen n bathroom. I'm.not sure what to do. I really thought it would be good for my mom who is 82 and very active.

My father is doing great with this community. He is active with playing the piano when they have activities. He enjoys Bingo. We are so happy to see a community that is more like a home atmosphere and not a hospital facility for him to call home. We toured another community, but this environment helped us make the decision for him to move this community. Dad is seeming to like the meals. We would highly recommend this for other families and there loved ones for great care and value.

Unfortunately I din't have such a pleasant experience with this company. As I have visited, I notice it doesn't seem as though management is very involved in the community. A few of the residents I have noticed, appear to need more of a skilled facility. It concerns me for several reasons, one I do not feel as thoughyou loved one is getting the proper assistance because of some much time being spent on more advance details conditions, and two they seem to be severely understaffed. As I have spoken to staff in passing, they all seem to be unhappy with the condition same they are forced to work under. I'm just wordering how so many things have gone unnoticed, if I'm able to see them as just a visitor. One other concern that I've mentioned to management before is the smell in the air, it seems to be a moldy odor. I would love to see some changes soon in this community, as the rest of my family is ready to seek other placement.

My father is stable here at Brookdale Pinehurst. So far it has been a good experience. My only thing about this community is that there are add-on's to my father's bill at the end of the month that they don't discuss with you before move in. I would say it is a nice community and has a good staff here. The place looks great and clean. The meals are good and it has been a learning experience for me.
