Quality care, amazing staff
Staff and nurses were all very friendly, welcoming, and informative. Communication was excellent and they a great job coordinating two adult seniors, one with a terminal brain cancer and the other with Parkinson's with dementia. Plus their cat. They treated them with great care and informed us of everything along the way, including a transition from a regular room, to separate beds, and eventually to memory care where my mother spent her final days with hospice. I didn't really know what to expect from senior care as I didn't have much time to figure it out. Ultimately, we choose Charter because of cost and because of the staff and nurses. Everyone was so friendly, and helpful during and extremely difficult and unexpected time.

Better than I could imagine!!
The care my Mother in law received was wonderful. The staff was so friendly, they went above and beyond every shift. The food was delicious with a great variety. They frequently emptied the garbage and kept the facility very clean. They have a lot of activities for the residents. I highly recommend Charter to care for your loved one.

Constant turnover
My husband was there. He had some dementia and they kept sending him to the ER when he wouldn't cooperate. And he then wound up in a psychiatric hospital. Several times.
Too many personal items disappeared. Constant turnover of staff. Promised snacks not always provided. Food however was very good; especially the choice of entrees presented at each meal. Courtyard outside had no shade.

Treat you like family until they get your money!
I wouldn't drop my garbage off here for them to take care of! Everyone was incredible and then they took our money! Fed my diabetic father cupcakes. Found mounds of soiled clothes hidden in his closet and when confronting the staff, suddenly, things got worse. He was there for 3 weeks, they took [amount removed] from us and are now suing us for another[amount removed].
There will be more to come... I gave them weeks to return the money and the director who was previously a CULINARY director was let go (no surprise) They claimed they were going to take care of my dad and cater to his dietary needs as a diabetic fed him CUPCAKES! because it was another residents birthday. So lets make your father's blood toxic in the name of someone's birthday. His first meal they tried to feed him was deep fried fish and french fries with a dessert! He was transported to the hospital multiple times and his blood sugars were near 400!!!!!

DONT DO IT
This community has awful care givers. They speak to Alz and Dementia patients with such anger. My dads closet was full of used depends and soiled clothing. His sugar levels were emergency levels! This even being a diabetic as well. My dads health quickly declined here. He didnt last long at all. This community also owes we over 3k in refunds and they refuse to return calls. Leadership refuses to return calls when your express concern. They will ship your loved ones out in an ambulance vs giving them the care they need in the first place, causing even more bills for you. The incompetence of the staff is overwhelming.

We toured Charter Senior Living of Hermitage when searching for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. The residents and staff were friendly. However, it was more expensive than our other top choice and the rooms seemed to be about the same size. Ultimately, my loved one chose the other facility that we had looked at/toured.

Special place for my mother
We picked this facility, because it was a small community and Mother could bring her cat. They are responsive and resident focused. They offer, a salon onsite, tons of activities of all kinds. Something for everyone. I would recommend to other families.

Good Experience
I think the way the food is presented and served is good. It appears that there are several activities available for the residents to participate in, and the staff seem to try to engage the residents in the activities.
The nurse on the night shift is very hard to understand when speaking to the family on the phone.

Great place for loved one.
The entire staff treats the residents, especially the ones in the memory care unit, like it was their own mom and dad. They really take good care of them. The facility is great. I don't have anything I would say they need to improve on.

Do not recommend Charter
The new property Director is terrific (he has his work cut out for him). The Sales Manager will be your friend right up until you sign the dotted line then no more return calls. Took my mom to see if there was interest in the community. We decided not at the time (I was working with her drs. because of her worry issues). I let the lady filling in for the sales person know that I was her POA. We left and I took her home. Another resident called her and put the guilt trip. So she went to the office with her and had my mom sign the contract with the knowledge that I was the legal POA. They do not do assessments on the patient prior to moving in the independent living section (aka Villa’s). My mom was having memory problems and should have never been allowed to sign that contract without my knowledge. The villa’s are old and outdated , the one resident is a bully! Charter is aware of her and yet do not address it situation. I moved her to another facility and now she is thriving and happy.

Very caring and wonderful place for my mom
They are wonderful people at this community. They are very caring and they have made the transition with my loved one much easier. The tour was wonderful, they were very accommodating, very warm and open with me and they made it a great experience for me. I would refer other people to this community also. There are also nursing staff available for the residents all the time which helps.

I have 2 loved ones living in this community currently. After living in a different

Highly recommend
We chose Charter Senior Living because it fit her specific needs at the time. She is thrilled with the food and the activities that are provided. The room we chose for her is wonderful, she has a patio to a courtyard which she really loves. She is in the studio and it has a very open floorplan. The facility is smaller which is nice because she can never get lost. The people here are stellar and go above and beyond. We would recommend to others.

Friendly, welcoming community
From what our loved one has told us, the meals and dining service is pretty good. A really good benefit about Charter is it a single story, its easily accessible and the residents do not have to navigate elevators. For everything you are getting we do feel the value for cost is reasonable, and we would absolutely recommend this community to others.
