Crown Assisted Living is the only 16-bed assisted living and memory support facility in the New Smyrna Beach Edgewater area. It is a family-owned business where residents are family as well.<br>This is the advantage of their size. With just 16 beds, we get to know each resident as they would a family member. “You have the freedom to be what you are, and at the same time, you have people listening to you. You will never be fully forgotten.” <br>At Crown Assisted Living, they make it a practice to know your favorite foods, special diets, and the type of schedule you like to keep. For instance, if you prefer to eat a little bit later than the scheduled mealtime, the food will be ready when you are. “We put a lot of heart in the business,”<br>Crown ALF was upgraded in 2020; our ultimate goal was to redesign Crown Assisted Living into a residence we would be happy living in. <br> “Regarding the food, 95% is not frozen; it is fresh.” We make a breakfast parfait that includes bananas, blueberries, mangos, and strawberries. <br>Residents can also expect homemade soup with their lunch or dinner and personalized service. If you only eat chicken drumsticks, you will not be eating chicken wings. If you don’t like eggs, you are welcome to more of the parfait; residents eat 95% fresh; we mean it. Further, many of the foods are organic. <br>Crown Assisted Living features a quiet front yard with a picnic table. Rooms along the front have access to a common balcony with an overhang that allows for shade. <br>There is a large common area with a TV and a self-playing Organ. The organ is typically heard while meals are served. The dining table sits under a chandelier that reflects in glistening light. <br>Two cats call Crown Assisted Living home. Cats and small dogs are welcome.<br>When choosing Crown Assisted Living, you are choosing various entertainment options. Four days a week, residents enjoy live music, including music therapy. When not listening to a live performance or beachgoing, you can also expect to be playing bingo, card games, crafts, movies, and taking a casual walk.<br>In-house Dr. Asihene, and two other medical personnel are on staff, providing a combined 62 years of experience in the health profession. There is always someone available to tend to the needs of the residents.
