Everyone knew that Mom loved Cleveland baseball and football, and they made sure to invite her to the living room to watch the games together. Everything was clean and in good repair, all the time. One of the owners is a contractor and does most of the work himself, with care and regard to quality. Not only was Mom treated like family, we all were treated like family: we all cried together at her passing. Mom's care was the best. There was immediate care when Mom asked for it. We never heard complaints of waiting too long to go to the bathroom, get a drink, take a shower, etc. The nurses and aides were empathetic, well qualified and trained, and cared for Mom with thoughtfulness and humor as the situation warranted. Mom considered them to be family and celebrated their successes and commiserated with their problems. The owners of the home had 2 pigs raised and bought half a beef cow to put into freezers in the basement for consumption by the residents. They bought locally grown produce and cooked \"from scratch\" meals every meal, every day. The owner often cooked specialty meals herself. Her lasagna was \"divine\" lol. Divine was able to meet all of our requirements for Mom's needs within our budget and would have been able to keep her there, even when she needed to transition to Medicaid for payment.
