Georgetown Living is a great fit for Alzheimer's patients. Rooms are smaller and shower is at the end of hall. I see now how this type of set up is great!!! Great facility that would meet needs of loved one.

I never actually went to Georgetown Living. They had a wait list and we needed immediate placement. However being a working farm it seemed ideal for my gentleman farmer dad. I will say this about Georgetown Living -[name removed] was helpful in providing information beyond his facility in trying to help me. I give him credit for that.

The director was nice. The facility seemed to be okay. It was in the country, and had cows. It did not seem to be a good fit for my loved one.

The people here are wonderful. I'm very happy with Georgetown Living. Some of the caregiver are better than others, but the care is good overall. My loved one has been combative, and they've been patient and worked through it with both him and me. They try things until they find something that works. I like the way the common area is set up. When the residents come out of their rooms, it's right there, which gives it a community feel. I would like to see it be a little cleaner, but I understand staffing challenges right now.

This community was nice and positive but the rooms were tiny and not what I was looking for with my loved one. I wanted him to be able to have everything that he needed and still have the space also.

Wonderful caring facility. If you are looking for a facility that cares for your loved one in all aspects that can be imagined. Delaney is the place to bring them. Everyone knows your loved one by name. For that matter they also know mine. This included all aspects from Dining to care givers to leaders of establishment. Every single person here takes the time to listen and know residents deeply. The level of TRUST I have with facility and personnel is complete. I have been to alternate facilities similar that say they compare....they just do not. When you walk in the overall feeling one gets is friendly, caring, calm and patient. All of your loved needs are taken care of completely.. Dad has been here for 2 years. He is in Memory care now. He is just so Happy. So well cared for. One last thing is the Management team goes beyond the call of duty to support trying to accommodate your loved one and your needs with them as well. I am extremely detailed and OCD with all aspects of Dads care. Delaney just is amazing in they way that they take care of him. You will not be disappointed. They comprehensively are just the best at what they do. Oh and when COVID is over and done with. And you can have sit down meals again....Delaney makes the BEST BEER BATTERED ONION RINGs you have ever had. Lol. Just cannot tell you enough about the people and the facility. You will not be dissapointed

We moved my 99 year old mother to Georgetown Living in May when her physical condition and dementia got too much for us to handle. The staff has been very loving & considerate of her, taking her outside for walks or to see the animals, spending time talking with her, and drawing her into activities. The animals that they have onsight are a delight to Mom, who is such an animal lover. My mom loves the staff, and she says the food is excellent. With her dementia there are problems with memories, hallucinations at times, & reality issues. The staff has been wonderful to keep us informed when she's having a challenging time, and they work with her to help her through her issue. We often receive pictures of her and her activities. We are very pleased with the staff, the facility, and the genuine care, concern, and handling of their residents.

My mother was 98 years old with vascular dementia when we had to move her from my brother's home. My mother stayed there for two years until she died at almost age 101. We could not have been happier with the choice we made. The rooms are laid out perfectly with respect to the common areas so that the staff can keep track of everyone as they go in and out of their rooms. The staff was extremely (and consistently) competent, caring, and dedicated. Every time I visited my mother, I was 100% confident she was being treated very well. If you are in need of this kind of place, I recommend you visit them. The top people are especially impressive in their dedication to their residents, and their knowledge of what it takes to provide the best environment and care possible.

I wanted to provide this testimonial to the outstanding care my Mother has received over the last year during her residency at Georgetown Living. When we moved her to Georgetown from out of state we researched and visited multiple Senior Living Centers with designated Memory Care Facilities. What we found in these searches was highly educational. We found out that just because the center says they have a certified memory care facility it doesn’t mean that the expertise, staff ratio and care are all the same. We found several instances where the staff numbers and the staff experience simply didn’t match the descriptions printed in their brochure or the marketing that was explained during our visit. In many instances it felt like these Memory Care wings were “after thoughts” and added for revenue reasons not for the skill and care they were designated for. Once we realized that these big new national managed facilities simply didn’t meet our requirements we started asking trusted friends and medical professionals who they would recommend. Georgetown Living came up repeatedly as a top choice in these recommendations. After visiting with [names removed] we saw the primary difference in their style and commitment to treat residents with Dementia and Alzheimer disease. They treat each resident with the skill and dignity that they would want their own family members treated like. [Name removed], the Assistant Director, has been outstanding managing all the staff and medical coordination of each of the residents in her assigned building. She also has been outstanding communicating with myself and sister regarding our Mom. They staff with professional caring individuals at levels required to keep each resident safe and served. They offer a warm and loving environment with outstanding leadership and facilities. Mom has loved her stay in Georgetown living and we couldn’t be happier with the care she has received. She enjoys all the activities designed for their mental and physical stimulation and going outside in the beautiful courtyards as well as touring around the grounds and seeing the three Longhorn Cattle and the Donkey and Goats and sheep! We are so happy with our decision to locate my Mom in Georgetown Living and highly recommend their facility with the HIGHEST RATING.

My wife has been a resident at Georgetown Living since June of 2017. I am most pleased with the choice I made. The small, intimate environment provides an atmosphere which is welcoming and home-like. I am gratified for and I praise the staff who care for her. They are well trained, have sincere empathy for the residents, and do all they can to serve them and respond to their needs. And there is little turn over: the staff that were there when she came are by and large the staff that are there now. This is very important to the quality of care given. The ambiance of the place is welcoming - it is clean, bright, and well maintained, and it is located on a large property well away from traffic and the hustle and bustle of the city. Georgetown Living is truly an environment in which caring for the residents is the top priority.

We have just been so pleased with Georgetown Living; with the staff, just everything. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, the RN that worked with us was so helpful. She answered all of our questions, and spent a lot of time with us. I love that the place is so open. When you walk in, you can essentially see straight back into the community because the line of sight is so good there. This way, the residents are always visible and able to be supervised. The food there seems good and it’s very well individualized to suit people’s needs. They also celebrate all the residents’ birthdays, decorating the dining room, and having cake and ice cream. They also have activities there like coloring, games, and crafts. Even those who can’t participate are brought out to be a part of the group. We have been so pleased with Georgetown, and we’d definitely recommend it.

I had recently taken a tour of this community and I was not very pleased with this place. It was a very depressing atmosphere and I was not impressed by all means. They had dark hallways and it felt like a ghost town. After I got that feeling for my first impression I had realized that this was not the place for my loved one and I had seen enough.

I really liked this property. The staff was friendly and helpful .The atmosphere seemed good, not dark and gloomy like other places. However, when I was taking the tour I did notice that my dad who is in a wheelchair would have some trouble getting around. It would have been difficult for him to navigate around some of the furniture that was in some areas. It would have been perfect had he used a walker.

There's a lot of stress for anyone looking to place a loved one when it's needed. Georgetown Living proved to us that not only do they provide excellent loving care to each resident, but also to the family. One of their goals is that the caregivers stress is lowered. If not, they want to help and they are available any time you walk in or call, with their full attention on you, your loved one and your question or concern. Every single staff member exemplifies this. We initially used their home care/respite services. I can't say enough about how helpful and caring Eric is during this process. And i was happy with the services provided by the caregiver. When we moved Mom into Georgetown Living full time, we were concerned about her being engaged enough. They knew just how much to guide her into activities, and when to let her just watch TV in her room. When Mom had health problems i would immediately get a call from either Marcella or Jane. They both are very hands on with each resident and know fully what is going on. And they manage the staff there very efficiently. I had several caregivers tell me they really loved their job, and looked forward to coming in. Some felt like they just came in to stay with their many grandmothers each shift! Their love and respect is evident. The residence is always very clean, homemade meals are very good. If we wanted something specific for Mom - a drink during the day or cereal in the mornings, they'll work to make it happen. Maintenance is fast and helpful when any changes need to be made to Mom's room hanging pictures or moving furniture, or specific cleaning. At the end of Mom's life, hospice guided us through her last week right there in her bed and home. the love and concern shown was so heartwarming. Caregivers would come in when not on duty just to check on her, give her love. Everyone was respectful, kept her very clean, warm and comfortable. Char leads this group of people extremely well. His management style works. I attended his monthly support group where he and other caregivers share trials, tribulations, heartache and just living. My entire family was very happy with GTL. It was the right place for Mom.

I can't say enough in praise for the extraordinary, caring, most human people of Georgetown Living who cared for my mother in the last six months of her life. When even the most exceptional efforts of my selfless sister could no longer accommodate the demands of our mother's advancing Alzheimer's condition, the staff at Georgetown Living expertly, humanely assumed her total care responsibilities, smoothly transitioning her to their facility. The Georgetown team was equally effective in administering to the needs of our family, providing comfort, education, constant insights and updates on our mother's condition. We felt like true partners and collaborators in our mother's care. With our unobstructed access to our mother, and the Georgetown living staff, we could observe them in action, not only around our mother but other residents, in their daily routines, good episodes and bad. Their commitment to our Mother's wellbeing, her comfort, and peace was evident in every action. Their emotional, and empathetic manner, coupled with their professionalism as part of a Certified Alzheimers facility, reflects the total trust our family has placed in them for our mother's care.
