I would recommend

We chose Kirkwood by the River because of the convenient location for me and it was a relatively good price compared to some others we looked at. She had a 1 bedroom and it was about 600 square feet. The facility is quiet and secluded. Right now they are on a big expansion so that may not be the case for a couple of years while they finish that. I would recommend to others looking.

my tour of Kirkwood by the River

We toured this community and the tour was very good. They answered all of our questions and were very informative. They were very accommodating and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We did not feel rushed at all and they took their time with our family. I would recommend touring this community

Praise Be to Kirkwood by the River

My parents moved into Kirkwood by the River 9 years ago and I've NEVER had a complaint about anything. This is the best run and kindest retirement place anyone could ever find. The entire staff are kind, thoughtful, patient and courteous. A wonderful place in a great setting with Christian beliefs and attitude!!

A nice place

This community offers a lot of activities and they do have entertainers come in. The community is beautiful. Dad seems to like the food and they accommodate his dietary likes. The staff are encouraging, friendly and we have good communication. I would recommend this community.

Nice, but not impressive

We toured this location when we were looking into options for my parents. It was a nice enough looking place, but it just didn't impress us compared to others that we had seen in the area. The person who helped us with our tour and interview process didn't seem entirely prepared, and honestly we felt she was much too young and wasn't able to relate to the concerns we had. Another issue I had with this location was that the apartments we were shown as options were located much too far from the dining room, my parents would have spent half the day getting to and from dinner.
