Our family's experience
[name removed], Director of Sales, was extremely helpful arranging for a room for my sister. There were also great moments with the CNAs, [name removed] and [name removed]were right there when I needed them. There was another CNA who was very helpful too, but I can't remember her name. And [name removed] was a good Med Tech to work with. My sister was there only 11 days before she succumbed to cancer on [date removed], so our time with staff at Morada was limited.

Morada is a beautifully kept facility. The apartments are very comfortable and well maintained. My mom’s health took a turn for the worse soon after she moved in. The full-time care staff is wonderful and very caring and conscientious. Problems sometimes arise with the weekend staff which appears to be very transient. (This seems to be a problem at most care facilities, unfortunately.) They sometimes don’t make themselves aware of which residents are in need of extra assistance and are less responsive than they should be. I wish so much that we had moved Mom into Morada sooner. She would have loved the activities and socialization that are available here. It is truly like one big family.

5 on each category. They were very welcoming and made all of us feel like family. The last 21 days of Mom's life, my younger sister, my daughter, and I, all stayed day and night with Mom. The residents thought we all lived there too. The staff were all so supportive and compassionate.

The staff is very professional and attentive with the residents. There are 2 different room sizes available. Amenities are same as an apartment. It is a little pricey, but fair for what is offered.

There is no communication between shifts, lack of management. The CNA's are lazy and do as little as possible. It seems the place runs itself with little oversight. Not the top rated place as portrayed on its website. Medications are not given on a timely consistent basis. They need to have better choices for food. Breakfast is usually good, it is the other meals that need to be better. Activities are nonexistent on weekends and limited during the week. They just need more time spent with the residents.

The faculty and staff were very friendly. They made it a point to come introduce themselves the first day my mother moved in. My mother complained of too much salt and cold food. The staff did art projects while you watched. And there was bingo. Need a better activities person.

My mom is a resident at Morada Lawton. She complains about the food, but it has been good when we've eaten there. She does want soup available to her for lunch and dinner, like chicken noodle soup, stew, or potato soup.

There was one nurse that was a little rough with my mom. Other than that, the care was wonderful. I was very happy with Morada Lawton overall. They were awesome and helpful!

The staff is very involved with the residents and the families of the residents. Cleanest of all the other facilities. Staff is more professional and compassionate than the other facilities.

Morada wasn't what I expected when trying to find a place for my loved one to thrive in. I was hesitant to even place her in a facility as I didn't want her to experience possible horror stories about facilities not taking care of their residents. However, Morada ended up being the perfect choice due to their community and mindset of residents first when providing care. Staff are attentive and listen to concerns and the residents are not pressured to participate in activities or meals, which gives some autonomy back for them. I picked this community for a couple of reasons: 1. Moradas memory care unit is a overall base rate of care. It does not increase based on a person's severity of their dementia. 2. The community upon entering felt more homey. It is not designed like a resort, rather a nice cozy living room or church fellowship hall without the religious aspect (at least for the memory care side). 3.Morada has virtually unrestricted access to your loved one for visitation and trips. We were concerned about not having accessibility to my loved one where she lived.

I actually called two places and had phone conversations with each. The person I talked with at this place was able to answer all my questions with a very caring and knowledgeable voice. The other place was lacking somewhat in those areas - especially the knowledge part.

We toured Morada Lawton when searching for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. I really liked this facility. It was a clean facility and seemed well run. It was farther away, larger non-refundable deposit and basically more expensive for the limited funds that I had.

This was a terrible experience. My loved one experienced, lack of care and lack of proper care. It was a nightmare. My loved one was not given her meds properly or cleaned properly. I would not recommend.

My loved one did not get a chance to move in. We picked this community because it felt like home. It had a warm feeling. I would recommend to other families.

This has been a good experience. The staff have been really good at communicating with the family about our loved one. The staff have been good at helping my loved one get settled into the community. There is a calendar of activities for the residents to choose from each day. Crafts, movies, games, and more are some of the activities offered for the residents to participate in.

Ten Oaks Place looked to be a very nice facility. We were looking for a smaller facility that was more comfortable and homey feeling. Here it seems more cooperate and it was also more expensive than we were able to afford.

The marketing and nursing staff are amazing. It's nice, it's clean, it has good security. My loved one loves it. She tells me move on in. Considering it's long distance, the staff does everything to help me out with concerns and getting updates as best as they can.

We had a good tour at Ten Oaks Place. It was definitely s larger facility, and very busy with activities. They had an obvious activities schedule, which made it clear what was going on and when. Really the only reason we didn't choose them is they were not certified to receive Advantage Care from the state for residents who qualify financially. And we didn't want to have to move our loved one later on.
