The right place for your loved one
This is community provides the best care in the Fredericksburg area. It truly feels like home for the residents. The food, activities and engagement is top notch. There is no other place to put your loved ones if you are looking for a place that will give you and your loved ones a rest of mind.

Cardinal Village is home sweet home
Cardinal Village is a very nice and beautiful community this place is home away from home for the elderly very clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing for the elderly.The staff is very friendly and caring that makes it very easy for the residents to fit right in when they come here.

A Good Place to Be
This has been a very good experience for my loved one and family. The staff have really worked with the family and our loved one's needs. Everyone is very friendly and nice here.
I'm impressed with the interactions of the residents and they way they socialize with each other. The staff make sure to get to know all the residents and this is what I have observed when visiting.

Tour of Cardinal Village
We had a great tour with Cardinal Village. This is our second choice, especially if it does not workout where mom is now. It seemed like a smaller more intimate community with a cozy feel.

A Special Place
Cardinal Village is just that... a special place. The team really goes above and beyond to care for the residents and provide great customer service. They are dedicated to the care they provide and have many things other memory care communities don't offer. You have to see for yourself.

We haven't been able to see much of the community due to the covid restrictions still, but some of the staff members really have been wonderful. What initially stood out to us, is that Cardinal Village is only memory care, it's not assisted living shared with memory care. In the beginning it was extremely mom & pop-ish but not its been bought by cooperate so some things have gone down a little bit.

Great facility for memory care
I would recommend to look at this facility it is awesome. The staff are very attentive and friendly. They call us by first name and they know us by now. They have a great staff. My loved one does not participate in the activities but from what I have seen they have a lot to offer.

The perfect place for my mom
This community is the most wonderful group of people to work with. They are compassionate and caring people. I receive an email each day with her activities, photos, and what she has been up to and the communication is amazing.
They do covid tests every Thurs. and we are only called if it's positive, They have a great plan in place for covid and I couldn't be happier.
I would definitely recommend this community.

Caring staff
We chose this community because it was specifically for Alzheimer's and dementia patients. I did a visit and was pleased with the facility. My favorite part about this community is the friendliness and caring of the staff, they seemed to know the names of every resident there. The room sizes were adequate for my husbands needs.

Cardinal Village
In general, the community is very tidy and clean. The staff is all very friendly. My husband has been well taken care of when he has been here. The staff really took the time to get to know him and they really were wonderful. They kept me well informed about his care and was free to walk around the community, while still being secured within the building. They do offer activities for the residents, however my husband didn't often participate. We did think Cardinal Village was a good value for the price.

In February 2019, my Daughters and I decided it was time to move my lovely Bride, to a Memory Care Home (MCH). After visiting several MCH’s and talking to people in the area, we decided to move her to Cardinal Village, A Senior Lifestyle Community, Fredericksburg VA., where we felt she would receive the kind of attention and care a Lady with dementia should receive. After eleven (11) months at her new residence they were able to teach her to eat again and is now eating well and was able to gain her weight back. She is also walking much better, and no longer minds taking a shower. There are hourly activities that the residents can participate in. Some of her favorites are: Today’s news of the day, Move it exercise, Stretching to the oldies tunes; Live music, Kick ball, Giving and Receiving, Road trips and lunch outings. She has made good friends and one cannot say enough about the professional and compassionate care she is receiving from the staff. The staff have always been caring and courteous to Me, my Bride, and my Family.

Cardinal Village loves their residents
Before placing my wife of 54 years in full-time memory care, our family (daughter, son, and I) researched local facilities and visited three of them, three times each. Cardinal Village kept standing out. The difference was their staff is such a positive, cohesive team, lots of comradarie and obvious empathy for their residents. Their directors (managers) are great; they are hands on involved. The care workers deserve praise; day in, day out, I watch them doing their jobs well, with love. I was told by management that they consider success is getting their residents to smile.
A kicker in our selecting Cardinal Village was my next door neighbor had placed her husband there. She spoke highly of the place. She said there had been a few hiccups but they had always listened to her concerns and promptly addressed them to her satisfaction. We were sold.
My wife has been there almost four weeks. By all accounts she has been thriving from day one. And because she is doing well, I am doing well. In addition to the loving care there, her day is filled with fun activities—mental and physical. It is so much more than we were able to do for her at home. Our family is convinced we made the right choice; we could not be more pleased with Cardinal Village.

Quality Care for you loved one.
All of the staff at Cardinal Village treat the residents with concern, caring, and respect. They constantly check on the residents and become very familiar with each persons personality traits and specific needs. They never fail to contact me when they feel a special concern for [name removed]. I have recommended Cardinal Village to several persons and will continue to do so.

Recommend this place!
My mother is a resident of Cardinal Village. My father is able to visit her every day so he is able to see the day to day care and attention or any lack thereof. I can say without hesitation that there is absolutely no lack. She is well cared for and the residents are able to roam the facility behind the lobby door, which is locked. Cameras are in every hallway can can be seen by staff members. The staff keep in touch with each other via radios. The residents are assigned to staff members so every staff member is not directly responsible for all residents at the same time. With smaller groups, the residents get more personalized attention. If someone doesn't show for a meal, someone serving lunch will use the radio to request a search of a resident by their room number. My mom has only been a resident for a year, yet I feel a bond with some of the staff. My mom is getting all of her prescribed medication, which she hadn't for the prior year. I would recommend Cardinal Village to anyone in search of a memory care facility for their loved one.
